I'm the least confident when McDonald starts for the Pirates. Plus I'm going to the game so I'm predicting the Reds by like 13-2.

What LFs are legit candidates the Reds could be in play for? And besides Ubaldo, what other starters are out there they'd be going after?

I'm all for them going after Jiminez and wouldn't be opposed to a Beltran rental for LF.

I think they'll put together a pretty solid package for Ubaldo and let Colorado decide whether or not they want to do it or not...I wouldn't mind taking a shot for Beltran either. Having your possible rotation of Ubaldo, Cueto, Leake, and Bailey isnt too bad...and an OF of Beltran, Stubbs, Bruce and Heisey is pretty serviceable as well. Would Bailey have to be a piece in the package to get Ubaldo?

I would not be opposed to moving Bruce for a #1 starter, but it would have to be the right situation. 3 years of Ubaldo isn't quite it.
I think he cashed in on his clinching homer last year and that contract will look pretty bad in 4-5 yrs. Nobody in the system has the capability to play D like he does though (other than falling asleep a little last night)
