Wasn't a shift. SS broke for second right behind Brantley. Looked like a pik off play that the pitcher missed or the SS misread to begin with.

haha. He is a damn butcher out there. Hopefully he drastically improves in the off-season, cause his stick isnt to the point were he can afford to be that bad in the field.

Good thing this is a non situation cause we are up by more than 3, or Id be really pissed. Still kinda pissed Perez is in this game. But he needed the work, and its too close to use the other guys in our pen, sans the mafia...and all 4 of them have thrown today.

Actually, LaPorta is a pretty decent 1B defensively.

He just tries to dive and shit for foul balls all the time.

I was jsut discussing with a buddy if Lou Marson developed into a decent hitter, how possible would it be to move Carlos to 1B primarily, thus making LaPorta expandable or moving him to the OF.

He's decent, but that's not good enough, especially for a .250 hitter who doesn't do much else either.

thome just isn't quick enough to dig those inside pitches out anymore. That was his sweet spot back in the day.....sad, but I will take it.

6-3 final, Tribe sweeps the Double Header with Huff and Fausto on the mound...

51-44 and gained a full game on idle Detroit and knocked Minny back 2 games in 1 day.

Love it.

Now let's just get 1 out of the next 2.

He is no better than average. Ive seen him just completely make a routine hop look like it hit a land mine. He will make some great plays, but youd like that to happen more often and save your pitchers. He fucks up easy stuff, and doesnt field balls in the dirt all that well. If he hit .280, it would be fine. Or even .250 with twice as much power. But he doesnt, so his defense, for a 1B with those numbers, needs to be much better going forward.

MUST take this series now. Got lucky missing Baker (to the DL) and we now throw Masterson and Tomlin. We got 2 wins with David Fucking Huff and Fausto I Blow Carmona on the mound. Its hard enough to sweep a doubleheader, but with your 6th and 17th starter on the mound...cant blow this series like Baltimore.
