Not to nitpick, but the top 3 in the English Premier League automatically qualify, the 4th team is in a "playoff" for withe others to get into the Champions League.

If you didn't go to the wikipedia page about the Champions League, it's the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). There are 53 (I think) members of UEFA. So, each domestic league has at least one representative in the Champions League. Other leagues have multiple representatives in -- like the English Premier League getting 3 guarantees and a fourth in a playoff. There are 77 total teams in the Champions League getting narrowed down to 32 teams in group play -- where they have a draw and have Group A, Group B, and so on.

The MLS is in a Champions League, it's the CONCACAF Champions League though. It's not as popular and not as promoted -- for obvious reasons. I wish it were televised and more important...but it won't be anytime soon. The CONCACAF and UEFA are also for the federations that deal with their international teams. The USMNT has CONCACAF qualifiers to earn their federation's spot(s) in the World Cup.
I see a lot of games on Fox Soccer Channel. I assume you don't get that channel otherwise you would have been on top of it.

COYS?

I am pretty mixed on this game because I LOVE Arjen Robben (my avatar) which is why I started liking Chelsea but now a good game from him could ruin my teams chances for their first ever CL trophy

Rooting for Bayern Munich here.

I really got an appreciation Bayern through the FIFA series; they're my go-to team a lot of the time (Ribery and Robben are just unfair). Add into that I'd like to see Tottenham in that 4th CL spot (I think the only way they keep Modric/Bale is if they get the spot, and even then, it's still up in the air).

No I don't get it. But I do watch everything online, so...it doesn't affect me much.

I just wish soccer would get more coverage on channels that people have -- not FSC.

I'm pulling for Bayern also. I love their style....ballin' wing play is fun to watch. Also, it would be shame for Tottenham to not be able to get in after the season they had.

It appears that Juan Agudelo will be getting his wish for more playing time. He was traded from NYRB to Chivas USA for Heath Pearce. Interesting trade...I would hate to be Agudelo in the Chivas kit...

Chivas blows hard. Shame for Agudelo and his development.

I imagine it'll happen. He's still young. He and Brek will be the ones moving next for big bucks.

Reportedly, the NYRB got $200,000 of allocation money, Heath Pearce, AND between 1/3 and 1/2 of any future transfer money!
