They were not. They weren't promised a meet and greet with Messi specifically, either.

Sucks. But I dont understand why these promoters always sell this stuff without the "person of interest" being contractually tied to it.

Its as if they said, "Messi will be here, we can probably have him meet some people and sign some stuff...so lets sell really expensive tickets and hope he agrees."

Well, he didnt. Sucks for the fans, but blame the dumbass promoters.

Heading to my first MLS game Saturday. Real Salt Lake @ FC Dallas. Looking forward to it.

I expect a US route tonight regardless of the lineup!

Speaking of MLS, my honeymoon is in August to Seattle and Portland and like an idiot I scheduled the first three days in Seattle before going to Oregon (wine country and Portland) for the last six days. On day four of our trip, Sounders play the Timbers at CenturyLink. Fuuuuck that'd be fun to go to.

Belize is balls deep terrible. Tahiti would give them a good game.

Our next one vs. Cuba should be about the same as well - punch an easy ticket to the next round.

Apparently some Belize players were approached by match-fixers. According to the article, the reason to approach players for the first time in a game they will most assuredly lose is so that they might agree for the extra cash, then the fixers permanently have a hook into those players for other matches where the odds might matter.

Anyone get their usa mexico tickets today? Looks like I'm going to make bank selling them online (have guaranteed 14 tickets possibly up to 25).
