Stats aside, Will Mahone is most likely the best RB in the area.

Deveon Smith Is going to very good again for Howland. I think they are gonna be extremely loaded this year. I say he repeats another great year!

Ja'les Hughes From Campbell was a pleasant surprise. With Skevo going down in the second game of the year he was given extra duties and ran with it. over 1600 yards as a Jr and he is poised to repeat Again.

Those two will be the ones to watch in my eye... both are extremely talented and have explosive burst to get through the fist wave of blockers. Then there talent really shines when both get into the open field. I think Ja'les is the smaller of the two! But Ja'les does not go down easy for a small kid. smith is powerful and has great open field awareness. i was watching a game on My Valley Sports against Poland and smith has moves and open field afterburners. Both should have well over a thousand yards. Ja'les has a chance to solidify himself as one of the greatest backs ever at Campbell this year. He will have his name right next to Patton, McCullough, Adams, Johnson, Wright, just to name a few.

Mahone is the best back in the Valley. If he didn't have to share the ball with the two best players in the Valley he would have a lot of yards.

Smith was an absolute beast last season. And he was just a sophomore. He will only be better this season. I will list some RB's to watch when I get home later. There are more than just Mahome, Hughes, and Smith.

Smith will be the better back when it is all said and done, but right now Mahone is the best back in the area. I like Thigpen out of Ursuline at #3.

Thigpen is right. I almost forgot about him cause of Mr Ohio. Wow to think he had over 600 yards behind the greatest back in Ursuline History. Yeah i go with this.

1.Smith
2.Mahome
3.Hughes
4.Thigpen

But Hughes did his thing with help. He had a full back named Sakora. But He did his most Damage to teams in the open Field.
but I still go with Smith that kid is a beast of a back as a Junior! It will be hard to find a better back this season in my mind. As Big Dean said he was only a Sophomore last year.

Man come on lets get the season going. NFL is about to get under way. Wish it was Aug 26.

Very well could be. Like i said there where two backs last year with over 600 yards behind Akise Teague! And that in its self is very Impressive. and they are both back this year. The worst part for the Ursuline coach is picking witch one.

Not to turn this into a QB thread. But from the My Valley Sports Preview. It looks like PJ Quinn might finally get his chance. I hope so kid has been over looked and if he is anything like his family Ursuline is in very good hands.

P.J. plays for Cardinal Mooney.

Ursuline's QB will be Chris Durkin. I know a junior is competing right now, but Durkin should get the nod; he was getting varsity rep's last season and they played him at WR just to give him varsity playing time.

OK here are the top backs that played last year and are playing again this year. in no particular order.

1. Ja'les Hughes Campbell Memorial RB Sr this year. http://www.scoutingohio.com/index.php/view-profile.html?task=userProfile&user=7295&name=JalesHughes
2. William Mahone Austintown Fitch RB Sr this year http://www.scoutingohio.com/index.php/view-profile.html?task=userProfile&user=3850
3. Tramain Thigpen Youngstown Ursuline Rb Jr this year http://www.scoutingohio.com/index.php/view-profile.html?task=userProfile&user=7504
4. Deveon Smith Howland RB Jr this year http://www.scoutingohio.com/index.php/view-profile.html?task=userProfile&user=4634&name=ideveon4

These are the ones that are the top backs coming in this year based upon last years numbers. I'm sure there will be some new shiny stare pop up this year some Unknown like Ja'les hughes was last year. Only the best to these players on a safe and healthy season. I hope each player brings there team the best.

Watch out for LeShun Daniels Jr for Warren Harding this year.
