Westbrook vs Cueto.
LaRussa being the little bitch he is, will throw Carpenter and Garcia the next 2 games.

Be nice to get off to a good start tonight. Just wanna see us stay within 4-5 games at the end of July. This months schedule has been unreal. But after this month it gets much easier and no west coast trips!!

Chris Heisey 8
Zack Cozart 6
Joey Votto 3
Brandon Phillips 4
Jay Bruce 9
Scott Rolen 5
Fred Lewis 7
Ramon Hernandez 2
Johnny Cueto 1
Dusty going unconventional tonight and playing the best player at each position (unless you want to count Cairo).

Stubbs is better than Heisey in CF.

Heisey with a two handed catch above the top of the wall to get Albert and make it a 1,2,3 inning for Cueto with two long fly outs.

Another long drive and this one by Heisey, and it gets out for a 1-0 game with the Reds with still 27 outs left.

Terrible terrible at bat by Phillips. Never swung at a good pitch.

nothing from 3,4,5 but a lead after 1 is promising

Cozart effectively steals 2nd with one out, on the RF rather than the P &C and turns Joey's fly ball into a productive out, but the Reds can't get the 2nd run in as BP takes a couple wild swings and Ks and Bruce tires to pull a 3-1 pitch on the outside edge and hits a weak grounder to 2B. Then Cueto tries to let StL score by issuing a lead-off walk, but BP turns a weak grounder to him into a tag and throw DP. 1-0 after 1 and a half.

Rolen leads off the 2nd with a double. Let's see if the bottom of the order is proficient at getting him in.

Lewis with a hard grounder, but an un-productive out being to the left side.

Cueto Ks, so the only benefit of Rolen's lead-off double is it allows the Reds to start with the top of the line-up in the 3rd.

So far, the Reds don't look like they are going be playing better in the 2nd half. 5 guys can't advance a runner from 2B in their ABs. Pitcher gives up a lead-off BB, and an error allows the Cards lead-off batter to reach from the #8 hole playing perfectly into a pitcher sacrifice situation.

Cueto with a very smart play after he flags down a grounder with a runner on 2nd and one out. Now can he get Rasmus out to end the threat and not face Albert with runners on?

No way did Lewis go around. I can't believe they even asked!

Lewis is the most unlucky Reds player I've seen in awhile.

Two stolen bases by Reds on caught fly balls.
