Recently engaged, and we're looking into honeymoon deals. I've been looking online and it's pretty overwhelming all the options. We do know where ever we go we want all inclusive. Also trying to debate cruise vs. staying at a resort. Any suggestions of places to go or cruise vs. resort?

Don't go all inclusive, if you let her start out that way she will think she will never have to make you a sammich.

I would go resort over cruise. I went on a cruise a few years ago, and I felt somewhat captive. We had to stick to a tighter time schedule when we were off the boat. Didn't get to see all we wanted to. Resorts let you relax at your own pace.

Honestly you can't go wrong either way.

Cruise if you want to see many things (more places), resort if you want to relax but really get to enjoy/see one place.

I have done both and enjoyed both.

We decided to NOT go all inclusive and did a quick over indulged budget (eating out 3 times daily, many drinks and cigars, lots of excursions) and we are saving almost $1000 by just going to Key West and paying for everything ourselves.

I'd go to a resort, and I wouldn't go all-inclusive because I think it's a scam. It may sound nice but its likely to cost you significantly more than it would if you just purchased things you want to do individually.

Key West is really great, we have a blast every time. You have to eat at Blue Heaven, Pepe's Cafe and either eat or at least have drinks at Louie's Backyard.

I can't wait, our wedding is this saturday and we leave sunday morning

Is there anywhere you can rent fishing poles to fish off of the pier?

I heard all the gays really clear out during the summer after their pridefest or whatever and head north for Provincetown and come back in Oct for Fantasy Fest.

Just got back from ours. We did all inclusive in the Dominican Republic. It's nice doing absolutely nothing, but I get bored and would have preferred a cruise. Either way you can't go wrong.

What's your budget?

The past 3 yrs I have booked all inclusive resorts and will continue to travel that way. Love it! Have booked through Applevacations.com and Deltavacations.com also via travel agent friend (for better discount). Last two years Mexico (Puerta Vallarta and Riviera Maya) and this year we are heading to the Dominican Republic.

FYP.

Seriously, Ocho Rios would be a nice way to spend a day, but I'd be staying on the other side of the island. The waterfall climb is schweet, though.

I felt that way about Montego Bay. I liked Negril and Ocho Rios though.
