on my recent trip to vegas we stayed up drinking until around 5 or 6 each morning in the casino, and woke up around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. its a little different there, as the fun things to do always happen at night.

I only wish I could sleep in. Haven't done it since 1986.

I want vacation to last as long as possible, and sleep only seems to shorten it. As long as I get 6 or so hours in, i'm good to go.
Couple weeks ago went to a lake and the kids actually got up early. BEfore noon went swimming, kayaking, fishing and ate. The kids were astonished and said something like "wow, its only noon. we did fun stuff and have all day to do more and do it again" and thought it was pretty cool.

All while the wife slumbered till 1030-11ish.

Hoping to get a run on the beach during the next vacation each morning. Love getting up early and going to bed late on vacations. As you said....about 6 hours is all I need.

My vacation sleep schedule is similar to my weekend one- Bed between 12-1, wakeup between 6-7. I love quiet mornings on days I don't have to work. When on vacation I usually go for a walk after waking up, or read until my girlfriend is up around 10 (no idea how she can sleep so much)...

I usually stay up a little later and get up a little later. I get up at 5 AM to go to work though-so getting up a little later means 7 ish. My wife and kids usually sleep in. I usually go for a run and get the blankets out to reserve our spot on the beach. (Obviously depending on where we are) I havent slept in late for years.

Yeah. But because of their sleep issues at night (having to get up to piss 18 times a night and then waking up at 5 a.m.), they have to take 4 naps a day. Usually causing them to miss large amounts of their "stories" on afternoon TV.
