Cooper arguably faced a much tougher schedule in his day and always had elite talent. Tressel certainly walked into a great situation because expectations weren't as high as they are now.

I'll concede shambles is poor choice of words, but anyone who thinks OSU is not in some mud right now is fooling themselves.

It's a tough call. Ohio State has always been a premier job in the country, but Tressel has increased the program's prestige with the national success his teams had over the last 10 years. Still, Cooper left a roster full of NFL players behind for Tressel, where now you have players suspended, transferring, and decommitting. I would say if you weigh everything out it is about the same. Still a top 3 job in the country, unless the NCAA gets ridiculous in their punishment.
