Miyagi may be showing his age, but i was one of the people at Woodstock who took the brown acid. Lemme tell ya, there was nothing wrong with it.

Grateful Dead sucked. They just got a cult following from the hippies. Bon Bovi...yawn. You forgot that awful singer John Mellencamp on your pathetic list.

I was surprised The Jackson 5 wasn't on his list.

I don't think the Grateful Dead were the most talented group ever, but I don't think they sucked by any means. They were good for what they were, a jam band. Phish is much much better musically and way more talented than the Dead and they also have a hippie following.

eh... the dead didn't suck by any definition of the word. Garcia is easily one of the best guitar players to ever pick up the instrument, and it takes way more talent to improvise and noodle your way though a show than it does to play the same set-list every night.

Actually improvising isn't as difficult as keeping the rythem like Bob Weir did for the Dead. Don't get me wrong, I think Garcia was a good guitarist, but he isn't even in the top 25 of all-time. He had a great sound, but was an average guitarist.

guess we'll just disagree there. not that its even a very good list, but rolling stone does have him in the top 25, and i tend to agree that he is. i personally see the lead guitar in the dead to be much more interesting than the rhythm. just my opinion though.

but yeah, the doors are cool.

Don't get me wrong, I find the lead to be more interesting too, just stating what is harder to play as a guitar player. Keeping the rythem in time is much more difficult than just soloing and improvising. You get out of time as the rythem and you throw everyone off.

Acid-inspired lyrics or not -- Riders on the Storm is one of the most haunting melodies in Rock history, and to this day remains one of my favorite songs of all time.

Oh and Gibby...it's nice to know your inept views of music match those of college football and politics. :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKbPUzhWeeI It just never gets old.
