Agree with the Bourne triology. They got better as they went. Completely diagree with Ace Ventura and Back to the Future sequels being better than the originals.

cant think of any ..Unless it was a crappy movie to begin with .. Friday the 13th part one is definitly the best in that series.. You can make an argument that the Godfather part 2 is as good as the first .but the first is still king...Jaws the original was the best
Rocky the best
Star Wars ??? I guess for you geeks they were all about the same IMO, but still first is king just because
As a remake The color of money I liked better than The Hustler
Peter North vs Dominique Simone #2 maybe was better

Young Guns 2 was slightly better than the 1st Young Guns movie IMO.

I will also have to agree that Toy Story 3 was better than the 1st 2...and they were pretty good movies.

Dumb & Dumberer is possibly the worst movie EVER, while Dumb & Dumber is in my top 25.

A movie that may not have gotten better, but AT LEAST stayed the same was the Lethal Weapons.

-Godfather, Part II (though really, is bettering a Top 5 movie of all time with the greatest movie of all time an insult?)
-Bourne Supremacy and Ultimatum were better, but I think that has to do with the plot in the first setting up the rest of the series. The actual movie making and acting etc was just as good in Identity
-Dark Knight. But again, Batman Begins was a great, great movie
-Harry Potter and the Scorcers Stone was not the best, but I dunno which I liked the best
-Star Wars, Return of the Jedi

You are the first person who has made that comment. Everyone else I have spoken with says the new one blows.

Interesting, I hated the first two (and particularly REALLY hated the second), all of my friends who have watched it claim that this one is halfway decent. I don't trust Michael Bay to help an old lady cross the street, but perhaps it is good.

I don't think the 3rd one is better than the 1st but it is close. The 2nd one wasn't that great but this 3rd one was pretty awesome.

Laley as for the HP movies I feel like the one that was the best because it followed the book really well was the 3rd one Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

That still could make it better than the first two. I remember watching the first. Roughly 30 minutes later, I could only remember two things: special effects and Megan Fox's body. The animated series I watched growing up had better storylines than that movie.

Nah, Hoops23 made the same comment earlier in the week lol. To me it was better but it's all opinions. I have heard a lot of people voice the same opinion I am.

Not possible....the Bob Saget scene in the bathroom alone disproves this.

Also this is all I have to say about any of the Transformers movies...

Transformers 3 was good. Better than 2 for sure, and slightly better than 1 imo. But it was the best of them all for my taste.

I never read the books, but I really did like the 3rd movie. Probably my favorites, or the 5th (if Im thinking of the correct one). I honestly dont remember which things happened in which movie, since Ive seen them all so long ago.

Superman 2! Love that one, with the three criminals in black that all share Superman's powers.

Already mentioned the no-brainers: Dark Knight and Empire Strikes Back, both superior to the original movies.

While I love Godfather 2, I think the original is better. That being said, its on my Netflix list, so I will watch it again and chime in.
