Think we found the secret to winning when Carmona is on the mound....have him pitch a few innings and right before he's about to have his usual one inning implosion..."down goes Frazier, down goes Frazier!!!" Bring in the bully to take care of the rest. ;) These guys STILL suck though. :)
Carmona has gotten pretty pudgy . Both pitchers made arguments for designated hitter apologists today. Bailey almost fell at first too

Well...looks like the tribe will have a winning road trip afterall. Hopefully this game teaches Acta a lesson. When the starter doesn't have it, don't automatically throw in the towell like he's done 5 times this year hen Fausto was getting shelled.

Thanks for posting the Glittering Wahoo, ts1227! You saved me a trip into the house!

Footwedge: when Carmona went out, I thought of you. And I agree with your take on that kind of situation.

Could be the first time ever that one team has swept the entire season series.

However, no way this sucky ass Indians team does the job.

(PS, awesome work by the pen today... Truly the best in baseball, imo)

Good win. And believe it or not, Carmona took some baby steps yesterday. He had runners on in both innings and got out of it with no damage. I heard a stat that his BA against with the bases empty is like .210, and with runners on is in the mid .300's. Hopefully he can turn this around.

I agree hoops. The Bullpen Mafia is pretty good. Pestano was very impressive with his 3 SO.

Best record in this series was the Reds 5-1 series in 2008. No sweeps yet.

Carmona going to the DL. Blessing in disguise? Who do you think is going to fill his role while he is gone?

ha, I mentioned that yesterday. a trip to the DL could mean some free time in the minors for "rehab" starts...

I'm seeing McAllister could be the guy.

Leake got back to back hitters with that Slider riding low and in on lefties. We need to adjust to that. Its tough to layoff but it is not a strike.

Marson is a stud defensively.

And on the rare times when Shelly catches one flush, he leaves no doubt. That was a bomb.
