My Grandparents were married 70 years before they both died. Parents have been married for 57 years in October. All 3 of my sisters have been married at least 30 years. My 11th anniversary is this Friday. Guess I didn't get the longevity genes. Or I'm just a pain in the ass to be married to.

Grandparents celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary a couple days ago. That is the longest in my family.
A good buddy has both his grandparents alive they are in their early 90's. I would assume they are over 60 years, probably closer to 70.

I honestly have no idea how long either side of grandparents were married. My dad's parents are now deceased and his dad was married twice(my dad's mom died when he was young). I'm not sure how long after his mom's death, his dad remarried. They passed away maybe 4-5 years ago. My grandpa went first and then my gma not more than a year later.
My mom's mom passed away 5 days after my 18th bday, so that was almost 9 years ago(wow!). I'm not sure how long they were married before that. My mom's dad is my only living grandparent.
My parents divorced just shy of 25 years of marriage.
lol just looked it up. My mom marks EVERYTHING on her calendar. My mom's parents were married in January of 1957. She was born in September LOL LOL LOL. Nice.
So my mom's parents were married for 45 years.

My great grandparents celebrated 75 years in 05. He died the next year. My great grandma is still alive, still lives in the house they bought at 17 years old in Bremen, and still cooks 2 meals a day. She is 97 and amazes me how well she is doing. Thought for sure after my grandpa died shed just sort of let herself go.
My grandpa was also at the first ever game in the shoe. Always thought that was so cool.

My grandfather was married to my grandmother for 69 years before she passed away two years ago. They were married young (he was 19, and she was 17). He's now 90. For awhile, I felt bad that he would be alone in his home, which he eventually sold because it reminded him too much of the woman he lost.
However, my 90-year-old grandfather now has a girlfriend (who is in her early 70s ... robbing the cradle!), and I'm so happy to see him happy.

Grandparents on my dad's side were married for like 60 until my grandpa passed. Parents have been married like 32 and I have an aunt and uncle on my dads' side that have been married like 53 years.

My grandparents had the same Priest who did their wedding also did their 50th anny mass. OR at least he spoke at it, he was pretty ancient by then.

Sadly, my family is the polar opposite of this thread. My dysfunctinal lot is full of divorces, long term live-ins, widows, etc. Conversely, my wife's family might as well be the Cleavers.

My parents celebrated their 61st in April.
My oldest sister was widowed after 19 years of marriage. She would have been at 41 (probably, hopefully) if he would have lived.
My next oldest sister is celebrating 35 on July 10.
The third sister is celebrating 38 in November.
My brother just celebrated his 28th.
Mrs. Equus and I just celebrated 20 years yesterday. June 29. Woo!

My grandmother died 1 week short of their 60th wedding anniversary. The day after her funeral my grandfather and i were sitting in their backbyard talking and he told me something I've never forgotten. "No matter how much time you have with someone you love, it's never enough."
