NFL games account for 23 of the 25 this TV season's highest-rated shows, with the league's dominance only tweaked by Ashton Kutcher's Two and a Half Men's debut at No. 4 and the World Series game 7 at 23. In averaging 10.7% of U.S. households per game broadcast. its average is down just 1% from last year's modern-era TV records, when the league had its highest-rated season since 1996 and most-watched since 1989.

They have a lot of time now to try and iron out some things.

Their backs were against the wall the past couple years so this is a postion they're familiar with.

All have good to great QBs. With the exception of Houston, the other teams are battle tested and resilient. They'll find a way to be in it late.
Non;973313 wrote:New England just turned it around last night. Defense looks like it's going to be a little stronger now. Brady is still awesome.

Patriots vs. Packers would be like 38-34 somebody

Flacco plays better against good competition for some reason

the Super Bowl was close last year, Steelers had the ball with a chance for a final drive to win the game...it will be the same type of game this year
Non;973331 wrote:Jets were coming on...until New England made an even bigger statement.

New England was in a little slump but they have a great coach and determination and it looks like they may have fixed some things enough to still contend this year.

I think you're getting carried away watching Vikings vs. Packers.

Packers have had some tough games against teams that are not as good as the teams I mentioned. There's no question about it.

Some of my comments after many watched the Packers beat up on weakling Minnesota and declared they would win the Super Bowl by two touchdowns against anybody.

They played New Orleans and the Giants and both games were close. Their defense has struggled against formidable teams, even San Diego who is mediocre this season.

Baltimore, Pittsburgh, New England can definitely play Green Bay to a one-score game if the Giants can.

In this context I would say the media and many fans are quick to write teams off.

Steelers are 2-2 and in some trouble so people conclude this won't be a good season for them. They have good coaches and players and they're going to be working hard to improve week by week.

Same for the Patriots after losing to the Steelers and Giants. People figure the team is not up to standard this year. But it's another winning environment and they're not going to roll over just like that.

Jets have been in this desperation mode the past few years where they win a bunch of close games and then go into the playoffs on a roll. I still don't know if they'll make it this year with the tiebreakers but I think they'll only lose one and finish 10-6.

Gronkowski is a stud, finally gets the TE TD record. Would have had it last week but one catch was ruled a lateral.

Not really. Pittsburgh played like shit....penalty after dumb penalty. Cleveland's inept offense was it's usual crappy self. I told Fab4 that the game was over the moment they ran a dumb ass stretch play on 3rd and goal on their first possession. Good teams convert on that.

Pretty much. They should have gone for it on 4th too. Browns kick a FG on McCoy concussion drive to go up 10-7 instead of throwing the game away.

Harrison doesn't get it. That hit would have been illegal even if McCoy had the ball.

How pissed are you that he is playing well after taking over for the best QB ever to play the game?

Crazy ending in the D and the Lions got away with a facemask on Webb.

The Lions almost blew that game. Lucky for them the refs missed an obvious facemask on the last play or Minny gets another shot from the goal line.

holy shit....the Raiders game is over already. Packers aren't feeling the pressure apparently.

If they play their best, they beat anyone in the AFC by 2 touchdowns.
