He's 7-13 in 3 games with 13 RBIs since coming back.....It's safe to say he's seeing the ball right now. His problem is, he's hitting below .200 against LH pitching

ultimate jekyl and hyde game for santana. two run double to start the game but then follows it up with two errors that gift wrap sf three runs and then proceeds to get picked off in the eighth when he was the tying run. he owes us for that one i do believe
also, our offense is going to be embarrassing without choo and hafner

This division lead is like "hot potato"...each team is tossing the potato to the other saying "here, you take it, I don't want it." With the way the Tigers have been slumping lately, if the dumbass Tribe doesn't blow last night and one against Colorado, they could have a little 3 game lead in the division.

No need to worry Tribe fans... Travis Buck was en route to SF to save the Tribe!

We've been finding a way to lose rather than win these close games. One timely hit... in each of these games and we could be 4-0 instead of 1-3. Moreover, Acta who was pushing every right button earlier in the year, seems to be pushing every wrong one. Austin Kearns keeps coming up with guys on base....and keeps coming up empty. I mean he's not even moving runners along let alone driving them in.

Well, Manny Acta should be fired, for Austin Kearns starting a baseball game. There are no more excuses. Acta you are a dumbass, cut him or at least plant his ass on the bench. UNEXCUSEABLE.

Carrasco pitched another very good game, and should have had his 8th win. 3 unearned runs in one inning cost him a win. I would say Santana has some making up to do for his game last night. This is still a winnable series if the starting pitching can continue to perform like CC did. The problem is, we don't score when Masterson pitches and Carmona goes on Sunday.

We wont score at all with Choo on the DL and Pronk unable to play first. I mean, who are we gonna trot out?
Kearns
Buck
Phelps
Duncan
Marson
O-Cab
Hannahan
Excuse me while I go vomit.

Masterson going today. He hasn't gotten a win since April. Carmona tomorrow. Choo on the DL and Pronk has the next 9 days off. Forget a good winning roadtrip, I would just like to survive it.
Once Selig takes over the Dodgers, do you think he will trade Matt Kemp to us?

I would think Matt Kemp would be untouchable, or would take a very good player and a very high prospect or 2.
.331 21 HR 60 RBI and 21 SB .421 OBP 1.050 OPS

Didn't watch last night, but saw the highlights at the bar. That 6th inning was a complete joke. Looked like little league baseball. Also, when the hell did Choo get hurt? Even though he has played like shit, this team is screwed without him in the lineup.

Wishful thinking. He would look good in our outfield.

Would like to see Jerod Head get a shot in left field. The man deserves it. Also, why Fausto stays in the rotation is amazing to me.....especially given the numbers of McCallister and Gomez. The loss of White was a big blow too. Was I ever wrong on Carrasco. He pitched like ass for 6 weeks and I wanted him gone. Carrasco really knows how to pitch and he is a master at spotting his slider.....something Fausto can't do.
Columbus is 54 and 24.......and yet we continue to parade out there 6 guys who hit less than 240. Anyone notice how blazingly hot Valbuena has been down there? Can Valbueno play 3rd? I would not let OCab see the field anymore, except for maybe late inning defensive purposes....even though he's only mediocre on defense these days. Commit to Phelps. Same with gold glover Hannahan. His swiss cheese bat is hard on the eyes.
Speaking of third base, isn't it oh so special that Moon Pie is hitting over 3 hundred? How big of a lead would we have if Moonie was at third this year?
I still think that Acta should use the strength of this team...relief pitching....for more innings. If Masterson is all over the place today, yank his ass. You've got a great pen...use it.
A few other thoughts. Sizemore...you suck. Santana....act like you care when playing defense. Everyone makes errors, but last night, you looked aloof in making those bone headed plays. As for the throwing error, part of that error belongs to Astrubal. The throw was really bad, but you have to catch that ball.

JP always was a pretty good hitter, it's just that he was put in a position where he had to do it all because Hafner was out. Not many people around here liked Peralta. I was one of the few who did and it seemed like constantly I was citing stats and defending him. Jhonny is not an all star...but used correctly, he is a productive player.Speaking of third base, isn't it oh so special that Moon Pie is hitting over 3 hundred? This is a very good statement. No doubt Peralta is a quality Major League player.HitsRus;813595 wrote:...Jhonny is not an all star...but used correctly, he is a productive player.

My goodness, the amount of looking called strike 3's this team takes is beyond frustrating.

I laughed at these announcer calling Druby a "hot hitter"... He hasn't done shit in weeks.
