CCHS is coming off of back to back disappointing seasons, 5 wins in two years doesn't equate to Crusader football! There's alot of rumbling in the family........should Coach Bahen step down........changes in offensive and defensive schemes.......fire some assistants.........and so forth.

Personally, I don't want Coach Bahen to go, he loves CCHS more than anyone but I do feel a cange in philosophy is needed now more than ever, we can't play power football anymore. Maybe he should hand the offense over to Coach Daley and Coach Copeland and take total control of the defense again.

Then comes the schedule. AD/Coach Daley has done a fine job of scaling back to match our enrollment size. None the less, it's still a demanding schedule. Barnesville and Oak Glen are signed for next year with a contract yet to be signed with Shadyside, also Bridgeport is rumore to be on the schedule too. Also, there were rumors of Columbiana and Wheeling Central dropping us (don't know why).

The schedule should look something like this:

Week 1: Columbiana H ?
Week 2: Oak Glen (H/A?)
Week 3: Barnesville (H/A)
Week 4: Edison H
Week 5: Bellaire A
Week 6: Toronto A
Week 7: Wheeling Central H ?
Week 8: Weirton Maddona H
Week 9: St. Clairsville A
Week 10 Shadyside (H/A?) ?

If Shayside and Bridgeport come on the schedule then a couple of more teams have to be off. I know East Palestine and LaBrae are off, maybe the other two will be either Ridgewood (I thought was a two year deal), Columbiana or Wheeling Central? Hard to say at this point.

Regardless, I will always bleed blue and gold........GO BLUE!

Personally would like to see it be off, no playoff points being provided from SCC. This game was scheduled to ensure that and to say the least was a major disappointment.

Thanks for the info.:)

With the Ridgewood game still on, there has to be some other game/s that have been cancelled.

Ridgewood was a state semifinalist, right? CCHS fielded one of their worst teams in history, right? Even then, that game was scoreless midway through the 3rd quarter.

I'm sorry you feel that way but let's see what happens next year before you start pounding your chest.

I agree the Wood needs to find a bigger and better school to play.

From what I heard towards the tail end of the season was that columbiana was done because we assumed it was a 4 year deal, they believed it was a 2 year deal and they have moved on. Bridgeport was reportedly slotted for their week 1 slot.

As far as WC goes, we gave up a home game to play them at their place for that friends of coal game, with the understanding that they'd then play back to back at our place. From what I understand, they now don't want to do that so we're about ready to cut the ties due to the backtracking.

Jesus NCF I didn't think you had the time to troll both CCHS and ND threads. Those times we beat NC must still burn you, huh? :D

They did, they're called Youngstown Ursuline. When will YU show up on NC's schedule?

LMAO.......I agree with equalizer, you're still fuming over those state semifinal losses. NCF once again shows his true colors!

I rememeber when you posted that on the other huddle. I tried to find out what's going on but couldn't get a thing out of them.

...As soon as you guys have your dates set, I'll make the trip south from Youngstown in 2010 for a game or two...!

I would have to say that Central plays a tough schedule for a D6 school. I think it would be wrong to get rid of Coach Bahen look at all he has done for that school. When I think of Central I think of Coach Bahen.

I don't believe anyone is being forced out the door. If there is a change it will be because someone who has given decades of service to his alma mater has decided its time to move on.

Exactly! Coach Bahen has earned the right to leave on his terms and I for one hope it's not any time soon.

Central will be hard pressed to win 2 or 3 games next season. I will give you Toronto but other than that I dont know. I seen these jrs and srs play a few years back and the talent just isnt there. No bashing here just my opinion.

Well with a refocusing on defensive fundamentals and maybe catching some breaks here and there we'll see if we can't beat that prediction.

Has it gotten so bad on the big red threads that you have to come onto central threads to troll?

Pretty sure Columbiana is gone and Bridgeport is on. Also, I'm pretty sure Shadyside fell through. Talked to the A.D. over some beverages, so that's why I'm not 100%

Al, are you guessing our record for next year or your record vs Mooney following the 2013 playoffs? I kid, I kid. :)
