That's the point though, it is better than Bud, Miller, etc. but at reasonable prices. From a value perspective it is a great brew. I can't imagine anyone calling it one of the best beers available, but it is the price that sets it apart.

Not a big deal for me as I live so close to WV and PA that I could get it rather quickly and easily anytime. But definitely think it's great for a lot of drinkers in OH. Yuengling is pretty good for the $$$.

Reminds me a lot of Coor's beer in the 70's and 80's. Everyone was clamoring for it simply because it was not available east of the Rockies. Once it was distributed here, it became no big deal.

Overrated in the sense that people call it "the best"? Definitely.

But it's damned good for what it is, a competitor to Budweiser and Miller in both style and price. Best uber cheap lager out there IMO.

And there's a difference...Coors is absolute piss.

100% correct. It is simply good value, I really doubt scarcity is much of a factor.

I mean, will it sell faster in those first few months due to people getting it because they can? I'm sure it will. But I don't think there will be all too steep of a drop off after that as I think it's one of the best values in the cheap lager market which is a really big sector of beers if we're looking at sales.

Why do so many people get worked up over what people like to drink? It is no different than whether one likes/prefers blonds over brunettes, large breasteseses vs med/small breasteseses, swiss cheese vs hot pepper cheese, etc. If people like it, they like it... let it the F--- go.

I like the flavor of the lager and the dark/tan (all that I have tried) The lager has an amber color to it, has more flavor than the average beer in my opinion, and is very smooth and easy to nail. :) I look forward to buying it more easily, and selling it as well. It will sell very well at my business.

I hope it arrives ASAP, but I look forward to buying and trying other beers as well. Right now I am into the amber Dos Equis... I think it is quite tasty as well.

I remember that. My first Coors was great. As many as you wanted, free, on the pool deck at the Plaza hotel on Daytona Beach, watching a free George Thorogood concert. It was when they rolled out distribution east of the Miss. river. There were 55 gallon drums full of ice and free Coors everywhere on the pool deck. The good ol days...

Agreed. I think the problem I and many have though is when people say something is the best (which no one here did so I'm not talking about you). Sure it's subjective but calling a Bud or Miller or Coors a best beer would be like calling a Mcdouble the best burger. Sure it's all opinion but everyone knows it's not right. If you like something great, fuck everyone else but I think there's something to be said for realizing when you like swill. I for example enjoy a lot of PBR. I know it's shit, but I like it.

I had Coors when it first came to Ohio because it was Coors and it finally made it here...and it quickly faded. That may not happen with Yuengling as it actually better than Bud/Miller from what I hear. I just know from a friend of mine that traveled out of state made the comment "at least they had Yuengling" when talking about a place that didn't have a great selection of beer. Yuengling was like the last result for a beer with flavor.

I've just heard so much about it that I'm sure it will have a hard time living up to what SOME people make it out to be. I already know I'll drink it over Bud/Miller and I haven't even tried it yet. (however I don't do Lagers, exception being Prima Pils and Brooklyn Lager occasionally) Then again I'm used to spending money on great beer, not just good beer.

I'm more excited for the other flavors besides the Lager. The Black & Tan is great, and I've tried the Porter and liked it as well. But Lord Chesterfield's Ale was absolutely delicious. I've never wanted to buy a whole case just because I never knew the next time I'd be back to PA and wanted to stock up on the Lager. But having those brews available will be freaking awesome!

And the best part is the price, you get quality brew for cheapskate prices. Yuengling has a great business model, provide quality at reasonable prices and get a loyal customer base.

Agreed again... lol. I think we all agree that one should use the term "that is my favorite beer" (whatever brand of beer it may be), and not "it is the best beer"

I just hope everyone enjoys their beer of choice soon, often, and responsibly... somewhat.

Disagree, I'll drink Pabst, but it isn't on the same level as Yuengling, Yuengling is a beer you can have for dinner and not feel ashamed about it, it is a quality lager. Pabst is the lowest drink I'll actually have (no more Natty Light, Old Mill, Beast, Keystone or other swill sold).
