Just signed up for this event in October. It's probably going to kill me so Mike Clark will be taking over when I die. Either way, help me help out the Wounded Warrior Project by donating a few bills to the cause.

edit: Donation has been made !!! (it didn't post The Wifes' name on the Donation, but like all men I had to get her approval first)

Participated in the event last year and my wife and I were thinking about doing it this year as well. We both have races a few weeks before so we're undecided. My hat is off to you though, it's a tough but fun event and it's for a great cause. We will be making a donation in your name.

Did you do the one in VA?
I'm really looking forward to it, even though it's going to kick my ass. We've got a group of guys from college getting together for it. Renting a cabin for the weekend, should be a great time.

Word of advice: Prepare yourself to be cold as fuck.
There was an ice bath, a snow hill thing, and a dude spraying you with a fire hose while you were trying to run up a hill at the Vermont one. You will be wet and cold as fuck.

No, I did the one in NJ. VA site is new this year, I believe. If I do end up participating it'll most likely be the one in NJ again. Last year I got together with a few of my buddies from ROTC and OSU. One of my buddies didn't make it to the end due to hypothermia. It was tough but a lot of fun. We'll decide this week what we're going to do.

There is another one in Indiana in November. Not sure I could handle it twice in a month.
