Sounds like it. There's been no explanation either. He didn't have a poor grip on the ball and he didn't catch a spike. it's like he was daydreaming and just stopped.

4-2 homestand. Coulda/shoulda been 5-1 or 6-0, but it is what it is. Lincecum going for Giants tomorrow vs Twins so we will miss him. 2 of 3 possible.

I am gonna sound like rock, but the Indians were the better team in this series imo, and they definitely should have taken 2 of 3 and added to their small division lead. Fucking Carmona. It's nice to have Pronk back though.

Good win. Had to work, but very pleased to come home to a victory. Pronk is just the stability in the offense. Anchors the line-up.

It would also help if he wasnt a complete buffoon in the field lol.

Yeah, it is going to suck to only have him pinch hit for the pitchers late in the games. Of course, it seems like the tribe pitchers always hit well in innerleague play.

He's not a very good fielder. And early in his career he had elbow problems. He actually played 1B a lot coming up, I believe.. But elbow injuries forced him to become primarily a DH.

I think the case is that the Tribe is so worried that he might trip and hurt himself, that they won't even consider working him there. Considering that what I'm reading in orthopaedic studies, overuse injuries for athletes doing one type of repetitive motion are common. What it seems is that a lot of different training does a body good. Maybe that's what has been Hafner's problem all along....all he does is swing....might not be a bad idea to get him out there shagging some flies and ground balls.
