Any recommendations of neighborhoods or apartments? Just accepted a job offer to get out of NC and move back to the great NE Ohio. Can't wait to get some Browns season tickets and watch all the losses!

I just moved the opposite direction but if I were to move back to NE Ohio I'd look in Tremont. Really depends on your age/job location/city or suburb tolerance. I like walkable older neighborhoods with cool restaurants/bars. If thats up your alley then definitely Tremont, Lakewood, Ohio City, Coventry Road/Little Italy area, University Circle or even Downtown itself. If your more of a suburb kind of person and your job is in downtown or the west side then Westlake/Rocky River. If your on the east side then Beachwood/Solon are desirable areas.

I'm 25, would rather live downtown to be able to walk to Indians and Browns, but it is expensive their. So like you said, Tremont, Lakeside, Ohio City, and Little Italy are the places I hear the most. Unfortunately, there are so many dang places to look it is nearly impossible to find a place. My Company is located downtown, but I am only at the office for about 10% of the time. So there are a few options in mind.

The 11,000nd block of Buckeye Rd is nice.

I am a suburb guy myself, definitely recommend anything west of Lakewood. when i moved to the area a year ago i looked all over, but a lot of those old neighborhoods i dont feel are worth the money to live in.

Plenty of cheap houses and empty lots to build on in East Cleveland too. you could probably buy a whole street for a couple months rent everywhere else.

My wife and I are looking to move back to Cleveland within the next year. I am an eastside guy, grew up in Little Italy. I echo the statements above about Tremont, Ohio City, Little Italy as far as neighborhoods in Cleveland and if you can find a place you can afford there are some great places on E. 4th, Gateway and Warehouse District. If you want to venture out to the suburbs, Shaker, Cleveland Heights(Coventry is a great spot for young professionals as well as University Circle) and Lakewood (Gold Coast Condos have a lot of young professionals) to the west.

Out of all the places above i'd definitely recommend Little Italy or Coventry. Both aren't too far from downtown, very walkable areas, tons of restaurants, bars and other venues.

Definitely get a place in the suburbs. Lived on both the East side & West side. Liked them both.

... There is a "quaint" little area on the East Side called Hough Try near E. 60th and Chester.

University Heights, Shaker Heights, Beachwood, Solon, ... all nice places. I envy you. My work is actually doing the opposite: relocating me from Shaker Heights to Irvine, CA

I work in Solon. Very nice area. Have lived in Mayfield Hts, North Royalton & Brookpark.

Daughter lives in North Royalton and works in Strongsville. They both seem like nice little 'burbs.

Forgot to mention I lived in Berea 2 years, on campus, when I attended B-W. Commuted the last year+.

Well the Berea Triangle is long gone, thanks to the idiot mayor Bittlecomb. SMH, Berea has gone down hill fast, esp after ford left.

United Dairy Farmers down on the corner used to be the place where we'd go get stuff. There was a pizza place that made the best pizza I ever had. Can't remember the name.
