Great end to the roadtrip!

Let's hope the Cubbies and Nationals can get it done tonight, too to bring it down to 1.5 back. And the Reds definitely need to build on this and pour it on Toronto.

I see Toronto as the biggest series in some time. They come off a very positive west coast swing and get to come home and the Yankees are upcoming soon. Don't blow this series and counteract your recent road trip success.

I'd hype this series to no end if I were Dusty...don't let up because you are going to your friendly confines....pedal to the metal and win this series, play it like it's your last!

The catch Freel made as a RF into RCF against the Cards....fully extended was better as was the play Jerry Hairston Jr made as a CF (only played a few games there)...he went I believe 23 strides into LCF and made one of the best OF catches I have ever seen.

I saw the Freel catch in person, in a very critical part of the game. Best catch I ever saw in person, and better than today's great catch. Don't recall the Hairston catch though.

Nationals did their part and kicked the living shit out of the Cards.

Now if the Brew Crew can just choke away the lead they have, the Reds would be in some good shape. In any case...2.5 games back is not a bad place to be after this road trip.

Especially after I expected them to be at least 7 or 8 out when they returned to Cincy.

Dang, knew Stubbs was fast but didn't realize he was that much faster/quicker than Phillips. He wasn't jogging was he? :)

It was his fastest as he didn't want the embarrassment of being doubled up.....we've all seen take 6 seconds to 1st.
