The Tribe comes off a bad stand against the Yankees, BUT wins the last of 4 and will bring that MO into Mo-town in a great battle of the top teams of the AL Central.

Tuesday and Wednesday night's games start at the usual 7:05 times, with Thursday's game being a "BR1986FB Businessman's Day Automatic Loss Affair" <----in which that will be OVER!

Our first game will feature our boy "Bat" Masterson, who is in dire need of a win vs. Verlander at 7-3.....tough one. Verlander is due for a loss, so we win this one.

In the second game, we have our "ace" Carmona vs. Penny who is 5-5. I say that it will be about time for Fausto to give Penny his "two cents worth" and drop him to 5-6.

And in the Businessman's Special that we will break that nasty losing streak, we will have Talbot vs. Scherzer who is currently 8-2, but soon to be 8-3.

Swamp Fox will be on here to set me straight, though. ;-)

Go Tribe.

Nice thread BRF.

I like the optimism. The first game is key. We need Masterson to be masterful. Because we know what Verlander will bring. The way this team is hitting vs. the stuff he has is not a good combination. But that's why they play the games. You never know. Maybe they break out and score some runs.

With how craptastic this team has played lately, I'd be happy with 2.

Lineup for tonight? I didn't mind the lineup I saw last night. Although I am all for getting Brantly and Druby the most ABs, so I like them at 1 and 2 as well.

Really like Detroit's chances to get at least 2 out of 3 this week. Only wish Porcello or Coke could throw game 2. Should be fun.

I wish Fausto was going in game 1. Just throw it away and try to win the last 2 lol.

I wish Fausto would get his head out of ass and get it together.

Verlander has been so hot lately it's been unreal. He struck out 10 Mariners the last game without really trying and his last 5 games he's had a 2.14 ERA. Hopefully my Tigers keep it rolling and take this division race over!

Winner of tonight's game wins the series IMO (not that bold of a call I know).

The good news about this series is that historically we have pounded Scherzer, knocked Verlander around pretty good, and Fausto actually usually pitches pretty well against the Tigers. The bad news is with the way this team is playing right now I don't like our chances to beat up on anyone.

Why does hafner need a rehab start in akron? He is a dh....does he only take half swings? Or are they afraid his rust will bog down our powerhouse offense?!

THE biggest series (to date) of the season for Cleveland. It is a must to take 2/3 IMO.

Geographically, it's been proven that Akron has less sand than Detroit to get in his vag.

Well, Grady just started the game with a K. 26 more outs, though!
