Always nice to see a kid from the area take that step to the next level.

He impressed at camp. Does he normally play safety, does he ever play LB or CB for big red? Any additional info/insight would be interesting to hear.

He plays safety on defense, and on offense he is a receiver, but sometimes lines up in the wildcat as the "qb".

There is talk this year that he could see some time as the regular qb...depending on how the other qb's do in camp.

He was hurt in the Poland game as a soph, and last year in the Massillon game, which hurt his stats (and Big Red's playoff chances), so hopefully this year he will be injury free.

The kid is definiately very solid, quick and a good open field tackler. Can bring the wood. Only thing in question could be his size but that can be overcome. They just called him 5'11 which he may be now, it's been a yr or two since I've seen him. Anyone know if he's put on some size?

Right now he has the size that CB's play at in the NFL. As a projected S/FS IF he continues at the next level, he's abit undersized, but not by much. He is just entering his senior year so his growth cycle may be slowing. Najee has put on good weight (muscle) while improving his speed and agility. I think he need's to work on his flexibility (muscle tightness on his overall frame).

Congrats to Najee... I know his cousin very well and he told me Najee would play football at the next level for a big school back when he was a freshmen. I guess I will have to cheer him on once he becomes a Buckeye :)

Congratulations to Najee. He was also a leg of the winning 4x200 meter relay team that broke the State Meet record time in Division 2. A great competitor.

...Being a HUGE Ohio State fan, I'm happy he's going there to play ball. Congrats to him and his family and major props to Luke Fickll for keeping another Ohio kid in state.

...NOW JUST STAY AWAY FROM ALL TATOO PARLORS BEING WIRE TAPED BY THE FBI! :)
