Same with Gomes. He had 2 hits to RF, and another right over 2B to drive in the important first run of the game. Now if he could just do that like BP did tonight on a breaking ball from a righty on the outside corner!

Relief pitching strategy, or sequence of pitchers, was the same as it was the last time Cueto pitched when they blew the 7-2 lead to LA. This time it goes down as a great win, last time a heartbreaking loss!

Cueto had 19 fewer pitches last time and this time Dusty let him hit for himself instead of taking him out for a PH. I know it was hot his last start...but he was fine. Not PHing for him was the difference IMO....and yes, relief did it's job this time.
