Cueto should be used to it. Pretty great play by Votto there. When it left his hand I thought it was headed to Stubbs.

Yeah I heard Cueto is in great shape, too. Runs more than any other player on the team.

We might not get a hit against Kershaw
Just made BP and Votto look silly, tough to do

Yeah that was an ugly 3 ABs.
I've never heard that about Cueto, nice to see him and Bruce produce after signing the big contracts.

Bruce wasn't "swinging at the right pitches" in that AB!

At least Jonny used 10 pitches from Kershaw before he K'd!

And that only got Kershaw up to a pace of 113 pitches for 9 innings.mhs95_06;790801 wrote:At least Jonny used 10 pitches from Kershaw before he K'd!

Johnny couldn't put up another zero in the 3rd, the 3rd time the lead-off batter got a hit.

Nice DP there.
Soon as LA scored that run, I said "game over"
Reds don't hit good pitchers..and Kershaw is one of the best.

Votto is good for a baserunning blunder every now and then

Kershaw facing the minimum thru 4 innings averaging just 12 pitches per inning even though he's averaging 1.5 Ks per inning.

God this is ugly. Lucky run by LA, no hard hit balls that inning.

I've never seen a pitcher look so unhittable.

Kershaw and Cueto now even on pitches at 65 thru 5 innings as Kershaw Ks 3 in the 5th, but used up 17 pitches because Rolen, Bruce, Gomes couldn't hit it fair!

Cueto with an 8 pitch inning! Could Johnny get a complete game and the Reds then beat the closer? Surely Dusty won't tank Johnny out for a pinch hitter this half inning. Just tell him to use as many pitches up as he can on Kershaw.

Poor AB by Janish there popping up on the first pitch, then Cueto gets the sac down, but that's two outs in two pitches for Kershaw.

BP needs to get an early pitch before he gets the low change-up with two strikes.
