Rosenhaus will earn every dime of commission he makes from TP. It very well could a dime too though. TP already burned CFL bridge. "Not enough to wet his apetite"

Not when you are the caliber of someone like Rosenhaus. You think Boras just takes on anyone? There are numerous agents who have the ability to be very selective and Rosenhaus would be one.

Well I'd venture to say that the 5 GMs Mort talked to had done some research on Pryor based on their comments. They also said 65% was misleading because he didn't hit them in stride and WRs had to adjust to inaccurate passes. I will also take NFL GMs word over yours on who is the better passer, considering they get paid a lot of money to break them down.

Im not debating newtons athleticism, he is a freak athlete, his play and workouts at the combine showed that. What makes you think he is a better paseser? He was in a gimmick offense that opened up passing lanes and left wideouts open because they were selling out on the run. He was succesful in the passing game much how tebow was in college.

Im not claimig to be an expert on quarterbacks, just making a point.The argument that it is misleading is stupid. Peyton
manning doesnt hit every reciever right in the numbers. Recievers are supposed to be able to adjust and catch the ball. Pryor had an average at best (below average for osu) wr corps last season. There were many catchable balls that werent caught. My point about the gm's scouting is that they must not be satisfied with their current quarterbacks to be looking at pryor, therefore their judgement has failed them in the past..and lets not act like GMs dont get fired or anything..

You'd be surprised at some of Rosenhaus' clients. They aren't all huge names. He takes players at a low rate, hoping they will blossom into something big, thus a bigger contract.

Besides, my main point was Rosenhaus loves the attention...and Pryor has a lot of attention on him right now.

Yea you are obviously right because he did sign Pryor. It's just really surprising to me.

And it's fairly simple to see that Newton is a better passer based on his motion and zip on the ball. Pryor lofts and pushes his passes.

Personally, I think Pryor and Newton are comparable athletes athletic wise IMO. Not sure about Newton, but Pryor was a top 50 bball player coming out of HS. Newton had ONE very good college year. That was it. I am still not sold he has what it takes to be an NFL QB. I have a wait and see attitude..only because we got to see him play only one year. And that was in a VERY simplistic offense.
But there is NO question, he throws a MUCH better ball than Pryor. Not even close. Pryor has to make some MAJOR throwing changes. Which is not an easy thing to do when you have been doing the samething your entire life. But someone will take a chance probably in the 4/5th rd of the supplemental draft. Its a no brainer to do so with a great athlete.

Newton is a more fluid athlete than Pryor.

And Newton had one year at Auburn. He was highly successful at his JUCO so to say he only has one year really isn't fair.

Superior athleticism, yes. Great teammates? Maybe. Troy Smith was throwing to 3 future NFL first rounders (Ginn, Gonzalez, Holmes), and had a 1000-yard rusher two years in a row (Pittman).

TP's teammates weren't garbage by any means, but they weren't the same level of skill players surrounding Troy Smith either.

90% of the teams OSU plays against, they are far superior than physically. The debate isn't whether Troy Smith played with more talent, it's that OSU is far superior to teams like Toledo, Indiana, Northwestern, Minnesota etc.

Marshall
Miami
Ohio
E. Michigan
Indiana
Purdue
Minnesota
Michigan

Of those, the only one that would be considered impressive is Miami. It would be hard to find another schedule with such poor defenses.

Penn State is one of the few teams that is the closest. Illinois athletically is extremely close to OSU as well, the players just aren't as skilled as OSU's players.

In the B10 (before Nebraska, I don't know much about them yet it's definitely

I feel like PSU is vastly overrated and take advantage of beating bad teams. Illinois is athletic but vastly overmatched physically which is why OSU completely dominated them last year without passing.

The only teams OSU ever has business losing to are Iowa, Wisconsin and Michigan; in conference. Anyone else is a huge upset.

Edit: forgot about Michigan St.

PSU is very very athletic. Especially defensively. They aren't "linebacker U" for nothing

We aren't talking about losing. We are talking about teams that OSU can go out and just "out athlete" which would be just less than half of the teams they play.
