Personally I feel like Bo Pelini would be the best choice.

I hate each of those guys. Not happy with Tress either, but everything about this situation just makes me feel sick.

This. I'm going to boo the hell out of those guys when they return to the field

It be nice to see Fickell make a stand and bench them for the rest of the season.

amen. That's what I would do being the spiteful SOB that I am haha. I would help wreck their pro stock just like they helped wreck the university

Something attractive about a nasty ass defense that takes no prisoners, ears pinned back and full of attitude...this is what Bo Pelini would render.

I don't think its fair to put that on Fickel. He has to have the betterment of the team in mind. I don't think he should have to bare a decision that could tear a team down when put into an interim role. Bottom line is, I am sure he wants the job. To get that job, he has to win games. As much as I hate to admit it, his best chance is with his best players. He is in no win situation. He sits them, there will be a pissed off fan base...if he plays them, there will be a pissed off fan base.

Defense hasn't been an issue with OSU. Personally, I'd luv to see an offensive minded guy come in and open it up. The days of Walt Harris offense in the 90's were a blast.

Same could be said for Urban. Look at what his defense did to Sam Bradford's 40+ ppg offense in the national championship game. I would love either one.

Some pretty quick Florida fellas on that team...Urban now would also bring those ties. Pelinis aggressive style without the Florida connection is intriguing though.

I'll be honest, Urban is a great coach. No question. But he also had MANY serious off the field issues with his players. The number of arrests Florida had under his watch was alarming. After this mess, I am not sure OSU is willing to take a chance with the kinds of recruits Urban brought to Florida.

This is true cbf , but where does the line in the sand get drawn? You have a guy who was labeled a "saint" leave tarnished...who should they get get to replace a saint? I think if we accept the fact that this shit goes on everywhere you just hire the best possible coach available and hope that the 1 to 3 ratio of compliance people is enough to keep the damage to a minimum.

Will Pryor be booed in Ohio Stadium? I know the student body generally despises him, but I think he's done a fine job of alienating the majority of the fan base. I personally hope he gets his ass booed and cries about it. He's a piece of shit.

I will agree that Pryor in particular has a bit of an attitude issue - but most 20-year-old kids who have told for ten years that they're going to be the second coming of God will have the same problem. We're the ones feeding the monster.

The Tat 5's only problem is that the person THEY sold to happened to get busted with their stuff in his his possession - I don't think they were the only ones selling. And if anyone gave a rat's rump about a MAC championship ring other than the players (which is probably as it should be), the boys in Athens and Bowling Green would be doing the same thing.

I wanted Tp to be a Buckeye in the worst way. Now I want him gone. This is a sad time to be a Buckeye fan. And a very embarrassing time as well. JT's image is now tarnished for trying to look out for this POS and the rest of the Tat 5.

Fact of the matter, it does go on everywhere. 25yrs ago, I bought a watch and shoes from a football player. Back then, I had no idea or even thought about NCAA. But I think the selling of things by athletes from things given to them, is very common no matter where its at.

TP was just another commodity to be won. Ohio State won, some times you lose when you win.

Where do you draw the line in the sand at? Thats the million dollar question. As for Saint Tressel...if you followed him at Youngstown St, he came to OSU with skeletons in his closet with his association with Micky Monus.

Nobody could have possibly removed themselves entirely from association with Mickey "Phar-Mor" Monus. Dude permeated every damn thing in the area.

Just hire the best available and hope your due diligence is enough and be done with it. There's enough Indiana's and Weber States in the world already.

You don't know what happened in Youngstown, you only know what the media wants you to believe. Sorry, it's true. Tressel wasn't dirty. Malmisur was on Monus' payroll for a while. I posted on another thread what really happened, you should take a gander at it.

This does a good job telling what happened.

You don't know what happened in Youngstown. I wouldn't expect anyone who isn't from there to know. It's extremely simple, Monus had a good amount of Tressel's players work for him completely legally, and ONE PLAYER who was recommended to Monus broke the rules.

Sheer, laughable ignorance.
