Cleveland Indians 31-19, 1st in AL Central vs Toronto Blue Jays 27-26, 4th in AL East.

Probable starters for series:

Monday, May 30th: Game 1

Fausto Carmona (3-5) 4.73 ERA vs Jo-Jo Reyes (0-4) 4.70 ERA

Tuesday, May 31st: Game 2

Mitch Talbot (1-1) 5.87 ERA vs Brandon Marrow (2-2) 4.38 ERA

Wednesday, June 1st: Game 3

Josh Tomlin (6-2) 2.74 ERA vs Kyle Drabek (3-3) 4.16 ERA

In my opinion, we have a definite pitching advantage in 2 of the 3 games. Jo Jo Reyes is like, 0-100 in his career. Tribe CAN'T let him get his first win of the season against them.. In fact, this may be the perfect guy to get the bats going against.

Game 2 sees Mitch Talbot make his second start after coming off the DL. Hopefully it's the Mitch that we saw pre DL and not the Mitch we saw throw BP against Boston.

Game 3 again favors us with Tomlin taking the mound.

Tribe SHOULD win 2 out of 3. A sweep would atone for losing 2 of 3 to Tampa.

To get a good vibe going into the series tomorrow, Jobu makes an appearance.

june 13, 2008. any remember what they were doing on that date? i'm sure jo jo reyes does because it's the last time he got a win - a solid 28 consecutive game winless streak. if the indians lose to him, we're going to have issues lol

also, i'd love to see chisenhall and kipnis get a chance once the clock stops ticking...might provide a spark to the offense

How the hell are you a starting MLB pitcher if you have a 28 game winless streak? There has to be better options in Toronto.

Fausto has been just as inconsistent as Reyes, I'd say game 1 is a tossup.

No.

2 bad games against Chicago doesn't make him inconsistent. If you take those two games away, I believe Fausto has an ERA of around 2.60... That'd be near the top of the AL. He's given up about 18 runs in 9 starts against teams not named Chicago and 18 runs in 2 games vs the Chi Sox.. That to me isn't inconsistent, it's 1 team just having your number.

People love giving Fausto a bad rap because it seems to be the popular thing to do. He's a VERY good pitcher and when he's on his A game, not many are better.

Totally dumbfounded by this as well. Why is he still in baseball?

Hopefully the bats show up this series. We could get a sweep if our pitching gets hot.

Jo Jo has been the bad luck loser many times during this streak. He has pitched well enough to win a few. Still, no excuse not to get after him today and give Carmona some run support.

Two starts ago Jo Jo went 7 scoreless and turned over a lead to the Jays pen and they blew it. Start prior to that he went 5 and 2/3rds and gave up 2 earned runs. Not spectacular but fine for a 5th starter.

Oddmakers have Jo Jo and the Blue Jays favored over the Tribe and Carmona today. Obviously this would not be the case if the venues were switched, but still shows that Indians are still not getting much respect.

This series is definitely a winnable series. Probably the worst starting pitching the Tribe has faced in a long time. Hopefully the offense takes advantage and starts hitting the ball better.

How long does the FO wait on this guy? He continues to tear it up. 3 more hits and 3 RBIs last night.

I think I may give up for the season if we lose to JoJo. Now no one can make the "we've been facing really good pitching lately" excuse if we lose this series.

"Shake it off, Ohio"....Pffft!

BRF says ESPN should stick to "shaking off" their little weiners in the stall with the door closed!

Yeah you're right, those games against division oppents don't count anyway. Might as well throw out the game he sucked against the Twins too.

Oh wait, or we could toss out just the 2 games in LA and he'd have an ERA near 6.

lolz

Image saying "Shake it off, Ohio" then goes on to highlight Tressel resigning, LeBron headed to the finals, Reds losing 10 of 12 and Indians losing last 4 of 5.

A loss on May 30 and you may give up on the season?

Keeping Bautista's balls in the yard will definately benefit the Tribe tonight.

I just saw that on TV, and I had a feeling that was the photo you posted. Just another reason why ESPN is a joke. I still dream of a day where ESPN has a legit competitor.
