This has been mentioned before but I think where he is at an advantage is that he's brought that National League "small ball" mentality with him.

How about this one..
Since 4/29 the Tribe has faced the 3rd best SP combined by ERA. Team is 14-9 during this stretch.

Good read.
I was on the Manny bandwagon when we hired him. He knows the game and he's obviously great with the players. His Washington teams were beyond horrible talent wise, so there was no way I was going to hold that against him.
The part of the article I really loved was this
“He has been doing an incredible job,” second baseman Orlando Cabrera(notes) said. “I have been really impressed with his attitude, the way he prepares himself. Before every series, he’s incredible. Oh my God, the attention to detail is unreal. He gets up early every morning and reads every single research paper and number they (the Indians’ front office) give to him.

Sizemore's back tonight? If so, I hope he's in the 4 hole and Santana gets bumped down.

New line up:
Acta shuffles the Tribe 9: Brantley CF, OCab 2B, ACab SS, Duncan LF, LaPorta 1B, Sizemore DH, Santana C, Kearns RF, Hannahan 3B. Tomlin SP.

I like it, although I may have had Grady at 5 and LaPorta 6th. I'm curious to where Choo will hit tomorrow.

No, probably just getting his first planned day off. I think he's played every game.

Kinda odd his first planned day off was the day after an off day. You would think he would get an off day during a long stretch of games. Oh well, hopefully he comes back on fire. I just hope this team can play .500 ball until Hafner gets back. I think this could be a very dangerous lineup with the full lineup.

It'll be interesting to see if this jolts the lineup out of it's current funk or not. So far Manny Acta has been pressing all the right buttons so I just hope that continues.

If this line up sticks, I wouldn't be surprised to see Choo batting clean up.

I really don't want OC batting in the 2 hole very long. I'd bump AC back to 2, Choo 3rd and OC down to 8.

Checking in. Like the lineup mash up. I'm sure Choo will be available to pinch hit late. Only thing I'm leary about is moving AC at all. The way he is stroking..I would have been scared to move him.
Go Tribe.

On WKNR this afternoon they said that a major reason for Choo sitting was that the pitcher they are facing tonight made him look real bad in the last meeting.

Happy to see that Manny finally figured it out. Brantley is the right lead off guy and having Santana batting clean up was as dumb as it gets. I said that from day one. For as smart as he is....he sure did mess up on the line up.

like the lineup switch...hate the idea of duncan batting fourth, however

Well, this game is over already. Tomlin getting rocked, already with a high pitch count. David Price makes us look foolish as well.

Tampa Bay was struggling and hasn't played very well at home. Of course they're up 4-0 in the second inning.
I'm sure David Price will have a 10 pitch 3rd inning now.

Wow. Just continue to watch these fastballs go right down the pipe. Offense has been blah since scoring 19.
