I think there will be only one wild card team at 11-5 or better, if that.
10-6 clearly looks like the record to get but then it's going to come down to tiebreakers. The Steelers aren't looking too good there.
But let's say it's Steelers, Broncos and Ravens all at 10-6
Broncos are out and Ravens and Steelers go
that would require the Broncos to lose two (Indy and Philly)
Baltimore to lose one (Pittsburgh)
Miami to lose one (Pittsburgh)
Jacksonville to lose two (Miami, Indy or NE)
N.Y. Jets lose one (Indy or Cincinnati)

Counting them out is as intelligent as saying the Browns looked good losing their 11th game !

Steelers have life after the Packers win over the Ravens.
In essence, the Steelers only have two teams to worry about other than themselves winning out. Those teams are the Jets and Jags.
It doesn't matter about the Broncos because even if they get in they'll be another spot. Steelers have to beat the Ravens and Dolphins anyway, giving them both a 9-7 record.
so...
Steelers win out
Jets lose one
Jags lose two
Jets play at Tampa this week. Probably a win but the Bucs have played hard lately just made a few too many mistakes. They also have Atlanta, Indy and Cincinnati.
Jags have Miami, Indy, at New England and at Cleveland. Patriots will probably have to win for the division so I think that's a loss for the Jags at Foxboro. They need to lose one of the next two.

I agree completely, these are teams that we should be stomping, but instead Arians treats it is a combine exhibition to show off Ben's passing abilities. I am sick and tired of watching this crap, BTW not a band wagonner, have been with them a long time. Long enough to remember STEELER FOOTBALL, and this is not it.Non wrote: Yeah I agree with all that.
They've been complacent and sloppy since the first game and it's carried over from week to week.
Too late to change that now.
A lot of people keep saying how they're not finishing but I'm sick of how they've been playing the first three quarters. It shouldn't come down to one must stop drive in every single game, against Chicago, Detroit, Kansas City and Oakland. No offense to those teams, but the Steelers should be up like three touchdowns at halftime in those games.
If it's 10-6 going into the fourth, well yeah of course there is a good chance you're going to get upset, because you jerked around and made stupid mistakes and left the team in the game.
Start off the game focused, execute, stay focused, execute and don't let it come down to a nailbiter fourth quarter.

4 weeks ago, the Steelers could have mailed this one in against Cleveland. The way Pittsburgh's season has gone sour, this game is no longer automatic win for the Steelers. As far as playoff chances for the Steelers, they are on life support as we speak. Maybe the Brownies can pull the plug on their season.newarkcatholicfan wrote: They will look like a championship team this week.

Pittsburgh's secondary is terrible! William Gay should be cut, Ike Tyalor is having his worst season ever and playing without Polamalu is showing up big time. I don't blame the front 7, they consistently stop the run and they applied a ton of pressure today, some of those passes that Gradkowski threw up were wounded ducks and the Steeler DB's couldn't defend them.
My old buddy Goose told me 3 or 4 yrs. ago that Taylor and Gay weren't going to make it. Boy was he right!!! When did Taylor ever have a good season? I agree that the front 7 are doing their job but, they need a little help from the D backs to seal the deal. I'm still hoping to back into the playoffs quietly but I'm not putting any money on it.

I agree with ya itackle. We havent had a shut down corner since Woodson. The secondary have been a joke since. Why a team even tries to run against us is beyond belief.
I too am hoping to back into the playoffs and hopefully get another shot at the bungals.

Have to bring this back to the top and say I told you so! Hell, i'm a Steelers fan but I knew this season was over. Too many optimistic fans wanted to look at playoff chances and it's been obvious for the last 5 weeks that there's no motivation. Talk about all the predictions out there, but it's been obvious for a while that this team has not been playing well enough to even be mentioned in the same sentence as playoffs....Ooooo wait, I think I found an exception - "They don't belong in the playoffs."

Coming into this week, the Steelers were on life support. The Browns pulled the plug.
