Not only that. He was at second with a runner at first with one out. He had his head turned around and wasn't paying attention to the pitcher at all, second baseman pretty much walked to the bag and Phillips was out by 5 feet. What made it worse was the batter that was at the plate at the time walked, and so did the next hitter, which would have scored Phillips. Don't remember who the pitcher was, but he hit Phillips, and walked 3 batters and the only out recorded was Phillips.
