If I was at home last night and not at work, I would have certainly been on the thread talking about how pathetic the Reds have been (if the weather would have allowed for an internet connection, that is). I post on a majority of them all season long when I can. I'm a college kid so I don't normally get to make a living in between 9-5, therefore I do miss Reds games sometimes and don't get to prick around on the computer all evening.

No power here yesterday from about 820-1130.

I usually save my Reds cheering/bitching to my Facebook posts. It annoys quite a few people when I keep posting updates and my own commentary about the games...so that makes me want to do it even more.

With that being said...

Stubbs bunt was a good bunt because it put the pressure on the defense, and oft times that is good enough for success. the Reds can use that a lot more times from Stubbs, and it makes him way more of a weapon. A great bunt would mean there was no chance to throw him out.

On Bruce vs. Rolen at #4, I think it is very bad for the #4 hitter to have terrible at bats, and Bruce has way more terrible ABs than Rolen. It's like when Bruce gets lucky its a big hit, more characteristic of a lower in the order hitter. Like tonight he gets lucky on a pitch that tails right to the middle and gets a big game winning hit. At #4 you need someone who is more reliable in getting runs in when presented with the opportunity. Didn't they say Bruce was like 1 for 31 with RISP and two out?

I dont think bruce is mentally ready for the 4 hole. Some guys get all jacked up when the move there.....i.e. phillips a couple of years ago.

Maybe by end of the year or next Bruce can mature enough for that spot...but he seems to scatterbrained to be in the 4 hole right now.
