The only thing Obama has owned is being the very definition of an empty suit. I really don't know anyone can defend this administration at this point - do people just love misery? The other sports/political board I frequent is FAR more liberal - probably 60/40 in favor of left-wingers, and they are even more noisy, and none of them are defending him at this point. What is there to defend? Obama said himself if the economy doesn't turn around he's a one-termer - he should have been a no-termer if we had our wits about us in '08. There's no more hope and change - he's just an inexperienced politician who had no idea what he was getting himself into and the rats (Romer, Summers, Goolsbee) are jumping ship. At this point I'd support Kermit the Frog over the status quo.

This pretty much says it all.
Abject failure is too nice a way to describe Bam's first term to date.

I think you'd get a lot less defending if there wasn't as much batshit crazy, tinfoil wearing "he's trying to ruin the country on purpose because he's a Muslim socialist/communist/marxist who hates America" stuff.

Will some one please tell me what Obama can provide as a positive action for America that his Administration and his Agenda have done?
Want sector of the America population can support Obama?

Add Michelle Bachman to the Left's looney list - http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2011/06/16/michele-bachmann-s-first-dude-husband-marcus-bachmann.html
When you absolutely have no f*cking bullets in your gun, other than "it's ALL the fault of Bush", you must attack anyone and everyone linked to a potential nominee. Attack her husband, drag his azz through the slime, deride, degrade, spit, and whatever else they need to do to make sure she looks worse than the current P.O.S. in the White House.
What a platform, eh?: "Our policies and performance suck, so we'll show you whom sucks MORE!!" Wait...I forgot...Ty says that Americans will overwhelmingly approve this and cast their votes from more inflation, higher energy costs, no jobs, more wars, and above all....hope and change.

More to come I'm sure...she must have done pretty well in the debate the other night, as she's made the move to #2 behind Romney.

For a group that considers themselves of superior intelligence the democrats sure do rely on the media to tell them what to think a lot.

More like they (Democrats) let the media do their dirty work for them. That way, if the media crosses a line, they can stand back and say how awful it is -- of course with a smirk on their face.

What's so different about what is being said about Mr. Bachman and the attacks on Mrs. Obama? Long ago, family members were considered off-limits during campaigns. Ever since the days of Rosalyn Carter and her influence on her husband's policies and decisions this has not been the case. Actually, Mr. Bachman is described in the article as being her top advisor throughout her career and will probably be doing the same during her campaign. Because of this he is considered fair game.
No one is going to be totally happy with treatment of the candidates' spouses, but the times have changed.

The POS in the White House has an approval rating about 20 percentage points higher than the last guy in power.

How's that working out for us? Maybe Justin Bieber can immigrate and run....Obama has blown it. If his supporters and sycophants can't see it, it doesn't keep that from being a fact. Another 5 1/2 years of trillion dollar deficits and near 20% real unemployment, the U.S. won't survive this. If we don't default now we're going to default later. I never thought I'd see the U.S. in this shape, but right now the future is bleak. Having apologists defend this administration doesn't help. I'm not sure the GOP has a better solution, but we as a country screwed up in '08. Obama is an incompetent, and doesn't even seem to care.

If you believe we're at the point where default is inevitable then it doesn't really matter who's in office because we're fucked anyway.
I'm at a terrible place right now because while I think Obama has done an obviously shitty job I don't think anyone else who was a candidate would have been better. Different, but not better. We could trade in a little more economic security for less privacy and more military or worse economy for less federal involvement (note those are hypotheticals and not meant to imply policies of any candidate would have necessarily done that. Just examples)
I have no patience for anyone who claims one political side has any sort of monopoly on fucking up or at least of late.

"If you believe we're at the point where default is inevitable then it doesn't really matter who's in office because we're ****ed anyway."
It is only inevitable if we allow Obama to let the debt hit the $20T mark, which he undoubtedly will at the rate of borrowing and spending that he's done in 2 1/2 years. It is almost as if the feds think they are playing with magic beans.
