The census changed apportionment of electoral votes. The changes favor the republican candidate.

Since the 2008 election, 18 states have experienced a change in their number of electoral votes because of the decennial census. Reuters is pretty liberal -- any news service that arbitrarily refuses to call terrorists...terrorists...is pretty liberal. That said, I don't see a breakdown linked to that poll, so it has no credibility with me unless I see numbers of Democrats polled vs. Republicans vs. Independents.

However, I found this paragraph interesting and think it will play into the election, because it's been very consistent in just about every poll done over the last year or so:

The poll found 60 percent of respondents said the country is on the wrong track, up from 56 percent in May but still below April's high of 69 percent. In the latest survey, 35 percent said the country is going in the right direction.

Yeah, give me one just like that one.

Sweeping generalizations based on one's home state, huh? That's your bullet? Really? If that's all you've got, it's nothing more than a spitwad.

Try reading up on what Gov. Perry has done in the Lone Star State. It's actually enlightening to read what a leader with experience can do for his constituents and not to them.

Note to Ty: the presidential candidate is listed FIRST. There is no poll on the planet showing how Barry stacks up vs. VP candidates. Perry needs someone who can be seen as presidential material and deliver states from the North. He satisfies both requirements for the governor from Texas.
