Have you watched the last two Ohio State v. Michigan games where OSU has worn alternate uniforms? Those games will never, ever be replayed on ESPN Classic, BTN, or anywhere else for that matter. They have been some of the worst games in the past quarter century of The Game. With 107 games to choose from (thus far) I doubt anyone would choose to show either one of those games.

As far as these uniforms go, I think they're awesome. These are about as true a throwback as you can get. Since this is what the uniform looked like when Michigan won most of their national championships I think it's appropriate.

They look a lot better than they did when it was first leaked. Maybe a few too many stripes on shoulder but other than that they are better than some other recent throwbacks.

Here's the thing with alternate uni's like this, since they are only going to be worn for one game not everyone has to like them (I don't think you could design anything other than the norm that would be universally liked anyway). You just have to make something that a few people will like enough to buy. No one is going to stop being a Michigan fan, stop buying Michigan stuff, or not buy a regular Michigan jersey because they don't like this alternate. They just won't buy the alternate, but a lot of people will.

They took a few unis from the past and made this jersey. One of the old jerseys had stripes like this.
