Guess he should have snapped into a seatbelt.

All jokes aside I loved the Macho Man. I say "OH YEAH SNAP INTO A SLIM JIM" a lot haha. I will def be getting a few later to honor the great life that was lost today.

Randy was the GOAT. No doubt about it in my mind. I first saw him wrestle in the 80s. At the time my dad was stationed at an Air Force Base in Blytheville, Arkansas, just about an hour outside of Memphis, TN. I used to watch World Championship Wrestling out of Memphis on Saturday morning. Randy's father Angelo Poffo ran a small independent outfit out of Louisville. In what surmounted as to the first "invasion" angle, Savage jumped out into the ring and began to challenge Memphis hero Jerry Lawler. The promoter of the Memphis outfit came out with the police who attempt to arrest Savage. Savage would come back on the next week or so until eventually they had a match. About a year or so later, the Macho man moved on to the WWF where it took off from there.

Dang Miss Elizabeth dead too?

Would've been a good one if not for:
According to officials, Randy and Lynn were both wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.

I think it’s pretty much understood the wrestling lifestyle of repeated head injuries, pain killers and steroids is going to knock a few years off your life. That said, Savage was awesome and my favorite wrestler. RIP.

It's the damage to the person that counts, the vehicle doesn't have a pulse.

On the contrary - if you gotta go, it's relatively quick.

I wanna be shot to death at age 95 by a jealous husband.

Do ya think it has anything to do with roids and such? These guys have heart attacks and suicides happening to them at an alarming rate.

Without question painkillers and likely roids are wiping these guys out much earlier.

BR1986FB, did Savage and the McMahon's bury the hatchet before his death? I know there are some very sore feelings, but perhaps it will be easier to honor Randy posthumously since he won't be there live.

Thought I read that they were on better terms. He had signed a Legends deal with them in the last year - had some action figures come out recently and typically that includes some appearances. Saw a blurb somewhere that Hulk Hogan said he talked to him for the first time in 10 years a while back, but of course that could be Hogan just wanting to get in on the publicity. My guess is he'll be in the HOF next year now.

That"s because Koko did't pop Stephanie's cherry, and Randy did.
