The Indians have played well at crunch time in the two 50/50 games so far. They have overcome the cardinal sin in both games of the closer walking the lead-off hitter to start the 9th, both times the tying run on first to start. Of course the Reds turned Friday's game from a good working margin to a 50/50 game, but today's was 50/50 the whole way, and a great game. Tomorrow's game, according to Murphy's Law, might be a Reds 12-1 win which would finish the series with the Reds having scored more than twice as many runs, but leaving town having lost the series!

You never know how a game will go. This week in Marietta I have been watching the NCAA D3 regional here. Yesterday it was the #1 and #2 seeds, Marietta and Heidelburg squaring off in the championship of the winners bracket, and after 4 innings it was 18-0, and from there Marietta went on to win 23-6. Today they squared off for the championship and it was a great 2-1 game, never more than a 1 run game, just like the Reds/Indians today. Once the Marietta title was secured, and not knowing the Reds/Indians game result, I came home and watched the Reds/Indians and another great 2-1 game.

Today, I also got to see the epitome of a "rally killing HR"! Top seed Michigan in an NCAA softball regional was nearly run ruled by Kentucky, behind 7-0, then 7-1 to start the last inning. In that 7th inning, Michigan gets a run and has the bases loaded and no outs, when the Michigan hitter hits it out to make it 7-6. Kentucky calmly then gets the last 3 outs without allowing any more baserunners to win it 7-6. Classic rally killing HR!

I was almost buying into your shit until you referenced a Womens NCAA Softball game. As far as the Reds winning game 3 by more than 2 runs to have scored more runs in the series? Haaaaaaaaaaa. Its the wins that matter!!

Nothing right now....I'm skeptical on him doing it against lefties or when he goes into one of his extended struggles. Bruce is the best choice for sure right now. Phillips #2 baby

I hope they put 30 on us. Might be the only way they do something about it.

If they score 30 and beat us it's because Gomes is on the bench.

Walt's definitely gonna have to make some moves...get Gomes off the team...bring up Alonso to play full time in LF...get rid of Volquez, I'd rather have LeCure starting than Volquez. Anyone know if there are any starters in AAA right now pitching well?

What is wrong with Heisey playing LF?

Just looked at the Bats stats. Alonso and Sappelt are both hitting. Of all the pitchers the only whose stats pop out at you is Dontrelle Willis
