God damn son of a bitch Gomes strikes out on 2 pitches.

I said yesterday Gomes batting 2nd will be like Roberto Alomar hitting 2nd....only that Alomar is 43 with AIDS....I would like to take that back...Alomar would still be better.

Nice play at 2nd by Cabrera...took about 14 steps onto the outfield grass to catch it.

Man I think you guys have a case against Gomes. Batting .173, and just watched strike 3 right down the middle with a RISP.

3 pitches, 3 strikes, sit down Jonny Gomes. Can't believe he's still hitting in the 2 spot today let alone playing today period.

I think baker assumed he would see better pitches, like Bruce did hitting 2nd. Problem is that the pitchers know Gomes is just free swinging. So they arent giving him the same pitches they would to other 2 hole hitters.

Funny the umpire as well as Dusty Baker disagree with you. When the manager doesn't argue it I'm pretty sure the right call was made.

They wouldn't have changed it had he argued. That's a dumb point. He was CLEARLY out of the baseline. It wasn't even that close. But like I said, new day, different game.

If he was CLEARLY out of the baseline, they would have called it.

And it could have mattered if he argued, the home plate ump could have stepped in and said "yes, he was OK" or "no, he was out of the baseline."

Anyway, O Cab fumbles it and the run scores.

You mean like last year when the pitcher from the tigers CLEARLY made an out to pitch a no no, but was called safe??

They make errors wrong decisions too.

Well we got a run, but that probably won't be enough. Gotta expect the late inning magic again from the engines.

Great day by Homer ruined by one pitch. Hopefully he can get out of this inning with no more damage.
