Even if he does go for 50 they were right there. And Terry shot well too, so basically they showed that they can keep up without much trouble when those guys are going off. I think the key for the Thunder (other than Westbrook playing like trash--if he shoots 40% they win) is not to let Barea get 20+ on a high percentage. It seriously looked like they didn't know who he was--like they didn't watch the Lakers series. I know he's pretty good, but he's not THAT good. They didn't respect him enough with their defense and he smoked them. No excuse for that. If Dirk goes for 50, not much you can do but you can stop Barea. I don't think they should double team Dirk, that will help them stay out on shooters. They have a few guys who can contest his shots pretty well, and what else can you do besides that? On A LOT of nights he'll make well contested shots, so what is the point in the double? Especially if they aren't forcing it from his hands and if they're having that much trouble rotating. Dirk wouldn't have gone for any more than he did without the double team last night.
But maybe they can't beat the Mavs, because Barea is a badass. He does get to go home to Ms. Universe after all. Dude doesn't have a care in the world, "if I play well, I'm going home and banging Ms. Universe, if I play bad, I'm going home and banging Ms. Universe."
