That game ball belongs to Haslem. LBJ finished, but Haslem picked this team up right when they were ready to give in and say here we go again. He picked up his game and brought more life into his teammates. I'll say this. I HATE watching Bibby brick wide open 3's over and over again, but his defense on Rose was great by his standards and very good in all regards. This four day rest will do some good for both teams.

Agreed, they both need it. They were BEAT last night--because all 10 players on the court at any given time are going HARD on both ends. Awesome to watch. I was pleasantly surprised with Bibby too, was able to stay in front of him pretty well. D-Wade did a fantastic job on him too.

That strip on Rose during the end of the game was a great play. I couldn't believe he didn't finish that. He had several nice drives that he would normally converted.

Coming home, Miami needs to limit the turnovers and shoot better from 3. Chicago needs to simply shoot better. You won't best Miami on the road shooting that bad.

Yeah, who knows what game 3 will bring. The Heat did a lot of things well in game 2 but I expect the Bulls to play better, they didn't play extremely well in game 2. The intensity the Heat brought on defense helped that though, it was there in game 1 too, the Bulls just made their open 3 looks when they got them. Obviously helps that they didn't have a million more shots too.

I was wondering that myself. It probably favors the Heat that way though.

That's the NBA's "move". They continue to try and find a way to make the playoffs last as long as the regular season

I'm sure it's based on some ratings study or some BS like that.

Trying to synch up each conference the best they can? I'm tired of waiting.

Dallas and OKC will play every other day for the entire series and so far the East has had an extra day between games 1 and 2 and will have 3 days off between 2 and 3. OKC and Dallas will play 2 games before the Heat and Bulls play another game. Obviously the extra day between game 1 and 2 in the East was because of Oprah's taking over of the United Center, but the rest of the scheduling is stupid. Its all an attempt to get the highest ratings for each team, but it makes ZERO sense to have one of the series play 2 games before the other series plays again.

It makes perfect sense because of the beginning of your sentence. Like it or not.

Well yeah, its still stupid that one series has 3 off days while the other series is playing every other day. Why not have OKC and Dallas not play again until Monday? I'd think ratings for that series would be higher on a Monday night than a Saturday.

Maybe, but like I said earlier, I'm sure they have statistics to show that you're probably wrong. And the OKC/Dallas series won't get the ratings the Heat/Bulls will so that's the one that's going to get as many big ratings nights as they can pump in there. I'm sure they want to get all teams as much rest as possible too so we see the best possible basketball being played when it's supposed to be. Coming off an 82 game season, I don't have much of an issue with them getting days off in the playoffs to recover. Makes the games better, but the waiting is annoying.

Exactly, if they want teams to get equal rest, why the hell is the West playing every other day? If both of those series go 7 games, the East champion will have had 4 extra days of rest over the duration of the series. That isn't exactly a level playing field. If the Mavs win the West, you don't think Kidd and even Dirk will be feeling the effects of that schedule?

Bottom line is Stern is looking at it strictly from a ratings/money standpoint, you'd think he would have more interest in having all teams have the same chances at playing their best basketball.

Dallas had 8 days off. They should be fine for the stretch run.

This is a huge game for Chicago. IMO, if they don't win today, they don't have a chance to win the series.

So if the Bulls lose today and win Game 4 they have no chance?
