amazon is the way to go most of the time. If you keep preordering from them, you always get credits towards the next game you want.

You've got to be an idiot to preorder games at GameStop, or really shop there at all by the way. They never have the preorder deals most other places have (Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart usually have a $10-20 credit or gift card for even somewhat big games). That type of thing adds up.

Ive heard too many stories on here about games not shipping on time ect ect. Ill just go to the store the day of and buy the game

I just ended up getting it on Amazon to get the $15 gift card as well, which I'll use towards Infamous 2.
I won;t get it until the 19th, but oh well.. I'll be fine playing Socom 4 anyway.

2 hours in -- this game is so good. It's been awhile since a single player game had me thinking about it during the day and looking forward to playing again at night. I've been so multiplayer focused since we had a baby 9 months ago because it's easy to hop in and play and shut it off if needed without caring about a story..
The facial expressions are nuts, it's as close to real life as a game has ever been, it's kind of distracting how good it is at times.
edit: Amazon increased their promo credit to $20...which is a bunch of BS for those of us who preordered....I sent a sob story e-mail to amazon, usually it works and they will give you the additional credit, just a heads up....free $5

I got in on that deal and the Kmart near me actually had a good selection for the $19.99 freebie.
I ended up picking up Enslaved, but some of the other options were Alan Wake, Singularity and Mass Effect 2.

I am officially stuck...not by the game..
Not sure why, but I can not punch or block now. Not sure if it is the playstation, the contoller or the game. I just stand there and get the shit punched out of me till I get knocked the fuck out. I rebooted, but that didn't work.

Are you holding L2 while trying to fight? I'm not having any problems with it.
