Love this rivalry. It's good to see to 2 teams who just cannot stand each other. It's laughable that the Cardinals would think that Coco would even consider beaning Pujols.
And if Carpenter really blamed his performance on the mound, then Phillips was correct in his description of the Cardinals last season

The Cards are retarded for thinking Coco hit Pujols on purpose, for sure. Wasn't it a 1-2 count? Hmmm, bean Pujols to bring up the go ahead run, who happens to be Matt Holliday who is on fire and hitting like .385. I'm sure that was Cordero's intentions.

It was 0-2...he was pitching him up and in to set up the next pitch....it's called pitching folks. You miss away from teh plate...not over the plate...still pitching.
Holliday and Berkman followed...negates anything happening during a meaningful moment.
No one makes a purpose plunk on the 3rd pitch of an AB....baseball is stubborn, you get beaned if the other team is pissed on the first pitch.

I literally made the joke that he would complain about the mound or the balls. I can't believe the things this team will complain about. And I'll say it again, I bet the infielders for the cards hate Carpenter. He's a total dick to them. Throwing his hands up, leaning over and staring at them.

And hit pujols?? Why??? You have the nl's top hitter on deck followed by the guy who has more homers as an opposing player and is a total reds killer in the hole. Just stupid to think coco would bean pujols. Pujols seems to be the only one who agrees though.
