I know. I still haven't kicked the cravings 100% yet. I have kicked the sugar cravings already, though.

I don't eat or crave that shit. It's my choice. If I REALLY craved or wanted it, I'd eat it but I don't. I don't even guarantee I'll want it at Christmas.

Not at all. I'd rather eat like this, enjoying the food that I eat, than stick a needle in my arm like the obese bastards in this country that are getting diabetes.

I can't speak for BR but everything I've had to eat on the paleo/primal "diet" has been excellent. Every meal is plant, animal, and fat. I have absolutely no craving for any sort of sweet food either.

Same here and like you experienced today, when you eat sugar or grains you feel like total shit and probably lethargic. Our bodies only require a minute amount of carbs.

+1 I don't have sugar cravings either. I enjoy my food. Especially when I never feel like crap or feel like I need a nap after I eat.

The thing about it is that everyone thinks we're suffering because we've cut out grains. Far from the truth. We eat full fat, delicious meats, eggs, fish, etc. Tomorrow I'm having Paleo (grain free) cereal for breakfast. Will be a first time experiment.

While I'm not doing paleo or any truly organized diet, I've really been working to cut out fast food, pizza (that's my special treat for rare occasions) and eat smaller portions. Last night, I got home late from work and was starving. Was going to have a sandwich, but the bread had gotten moldy, so that plan was scrapped. Quickest thing I could do was boil some frozen pierogies. Since I was starving, I put down the whole box, which if I remember correctly is a bit under 800 calories. I felt this overly full lethargy for a good hour or two afterwards. Just sort of told me that I actually have successfully changed my eating habits to the degree that I can really tell if I've eaten a bigger-than-usual meal.

Grains will also give many people a "leaky gut." Look it up...pretty nasty. You'd probably enjoy Paleo because you cook with a lot of "herbs." ;)
