Are you currently in the middle of a season? If so, could you wait until its over to turn in the letter?
I would not say "I am not able to devote..." This sort of makes it look like you've already quit on this season. Lots of coaches decide they want to spend more time with their family, nothing wrong with that once the season is over. But your timing and wording make it seem like "now" is too much or that you have more important things to do. That could come up in the future if you ever decide to try and return to coaching. Just a thought.

If it's a supplemental that you have to reapply for every 1 or 2 years, why even write a letter? Tell the AD that you're done.
