Gomes. He was still there during Stubbs' at bat and was forced out at home.

Every part of homer pence's game is ugly. Runs weird, swings weird and throw is ugly!!

I think it's the right thing to take him out with 95 pitches, the same as he threw last week in his six inning stint. With his recent history of shoulder issues, and another inning not being valuable to the team effort with the big lead and the bullpen not under duress, taking him out seems to be proper.

With a runner on 3rd and less than 2 out, Bruce and Gomes would be the two players I would have the least confidence in to get the run in, and this inning is an example of why!

Jay Bruce pressed away too hard to get a flyball in that situation. Chased one out of the zone and hit a shallow fly to LF. Gomes is just not seeing anything, he's lucky to have the 2 hits.

Swung at way too many bad pitches that inning.

With a lot of rest, I expect Chapman to hit 134.

or walk the lead off hitter on 4 pitches.

Chapman has gotta start throwing strikes. 7-0 game or not, this is ridiculous.

Maybe 2 or 3 thru 4 batters. Just got a gift call on strike 2 to Sanchez.

Yeah, I saw the Sanchez AB. Wasn't sure about the first 2 guys though.

Man oh man that was ugly.

Thank goodness he took him out before that got any worse.

Maybe this is Chapman's way of getting an early start on that modeling career he's always dreamed of. smh.

Just fucking great. What an epic fail so far this inning. Can't score runners on 1st and 3rd with 0 outs and then give up 3 runs with no outs recorded.
