I'm hoping he starts and plays well until Pryor takes over... Miller needs all the experience he can get until he's the starter in 2012.

According to a current offensive player, after studying the film from the various practice sessions - including the scrimmages - Ohio State's coaching staff has determined true freshman Braxton Miller is going to play right away.
Braxton Miller
Now, does this mean Miller will start the season-opener against Akron? Probably not. The coaching staff will likely ease Miller into action the first two games of the season. Then, if he plays well, he could be getting the majority of the snaps - or might even be the starter - for the game at Miami.
"Well, there is no way he's going to redshirt," the player said. "They've already told him he's going to play, they're just not sure how much. But he knows he's going to play right away. The only thing keeping him from being the starter is knowledge of the offense, but he's going to get that down more and more each day. Getting here for the spring was big for him and then he played pretty well when he was out there."
This player also thinks redshirt freshman Taylor Graham will be in the mix.
"They (the coaches) like him and that big arm," the player said. "He's still going to get his chances, but I don't see how he holds off Brax. Probably what's going to happen is (Joe) Bauserman, Brax and Graham will all play that first game, and maybe the second game, too. Then for Miami they might give the job to one guy."
Will that guy be Miller? Stay tuned, but early reports are positive. It sounds like he's going to get the majority of snaps until senior Terrelle Pryor returns for the sixth game of the season against Nebraska.
** Where does this leave Guiton? ... Two current players inform us they expect third-year sophomore Kenny Guiton to transfer following spring quarter. Guiton fell to third on the depth chart during spring practice (behind Bauserman and Graham, but ahead of Miller) and while he's not openly disgruntled about the situation, he has expressed unhappiness to a few teammates.
"He's knows he's too good to never play," an OSU player said. "Once they dropped him to third on the chart, that was a clear sign to him. And he knows it's probably only a matter of time before Braxton passes him, too. [Guiton] didn't tell me he was definitely going to leave, but he said he's looking into things."
Another player was a little more blunt.
Kenny Guiton
"He's gone," the player said of Guiton. "He wants to play and he knows he's not going to play here. He's still thinking over things and won't make a final decision until summer, but I just don't see him coming back. The chances of him playing are not good and all he wants to do is play. He likes it here at O-State though, so we'll see. But I'm pretty sure he's going to transfer."
If that's the case, it would leave three scholarship quarterbacks on the roster for 2011, in addition to walk-on Justin Siems. Cardale Jones is expected to join the team in 2012 after a year at Fork Union Military Academy.
