He got back from Kent State on Friday and his father took him to Cleveland this morning for his flight out. :( He will be gone all summer and goes directly back to Kent when he gets home. I keep telling myself this will be really good for him, but not seeing him all summer is really gonna suck. Needless to say, I spent most of my Mother's Day hiding in the bathroom crying.

So OC, make me feel better. Make me laugh.

I hope this helps...
0 to 200 in 6 seconds
Bob was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife was
really pissed.

She told him "Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the
driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in 6 seconds AND IT BETTER BE THERE !!"

The next morning he got up early and left for work. When his wife woke
up, she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box
gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway.

Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, brought
the box back in the house.

She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale.

Bob has been missing since Friday.
BTW, did you ever post the name you choose for you and your co-workers, walking thing? Just curious!

4cards, that made me smile. :D

Bigred, I think you have me confused with someone else. Trust me, none of these fat bottom girls in my office are walking anywhere. ;)

No need to worry he won't see combat for another 3 years, if he ever does. That should make you smile :)

You will be fine! Make sure you keep him supplied with stamps and paper.

It will go by before you know it...and it isnt that terribly hard.

Assume he is going to AIT too or a split option?

Before you know it ya will be going to his graduation...(i suggest ya to attend at least the basic graduation) and he will be a better man for joining.

The good news is : At least he won't be lurking around a second rate minor league message board all day.

I'm use to not seeing him for maybe 4 weeks at a time, but I guess I knew I COULD see him if I wanted. I believe it's AIT he's going to in St. Louis after basic graduation which we will be going to. My husband was in the Army then Reserves so he's already made plans for us to go to graduation. I keep telling myself this is what's best for him, and I know I'll feel better too once I know he's there and settled.

Thank God. If he was like you, I'd of had to drown him at birth.

Nothing in the ARMY is hard what is it a 9 week vacation? Make sure he uses his timeout cards when the drill sergeants are coming down hard on him. :)

Dont believe they have timeout cards.

Ft Sill though as a reputation of being pretty easy though.

When did the Army get rid of the timeout cards?
