The pitching is keeping them in games right now, but things are going to get tougher for the Tribe. Sizemore and Hafner are done with their hot starts and chances are this is more of what we will see from them the rest of the year, not to mention Choo still isn't hitting. We desperately need another bat in the lineup.
This is one thing that irks me about Acta. Where in the rule book does it say that a "one inning" pitcher can't pitch more than one inning? Joe Smith could have pitched 2 or 3 innings last night. Same with Raffy left. Jim Leyland is a pretty knowledgeable manager. He left in one of his "one inning" pitchers (Albaquerque) and shut us down for 3 hitless innings last week.

As for "what about tommorrow?"....you play to win the game THAT DAY.

Putting German in there was a slap in the face to the rest of the team who had fought their asses off for 12 innings.

It's a 162 game season. You cant bash Manny Acta after a loss and line up to praise him during 8 game winning streaks. They are in 1st place. Quit all of your damn bitchin!!!

Although I Respect Acta as a almanager, and like being in first place, we've got to make adjustments. I hate watching the Browns win the first half, then do nothing at halftime and be dominated the second half. We can't stay on top if everyone else gets better and we keep making the same mistakes.

With all due respect, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

We've now lost 10 games. 10 GAMES out of 31! It's baseball, it's 162 game season and the best teams are likely to lose 60+ games.

To expect ANY team to continue on the pace that Cleveland is on is foolish. That's put us over 110 wins on the season.. That is NOT going to happen.

This isn't the NFL where every game truly does matter. This is the MLB. It's a marathon and EVERY team will have some bad periods of baseball.

the lack of hitting on the road concerns me a little bit. still think choo would benefit from a day off but unfortunately that would mean austin kearns and no one wants that

I can't complain about a decision that the manager makes? Is that right? All in all, he's done a great job so far. I just don't agree with using our worst pitcher in the 12th inning when others were available. In extra inning games, he's been outmanaged IMO. To his credit, he did not hesitate to use CP in a tie game. That makes sense to me....something most managers will not do.

I also think he's an idiot in having Sizemore lead off and our rookie catcher hitting 4th. I also thought he made an inexcusable stupid squeeze call with Cabrera when he had 2 strikes on him. Dumb,,,dumb...dumb. He has stated that bunting for sacrifices is a poor percentage play....and despite the outcry from the baseball purists, he is correct. Bunting a runner over from first, or from second for that matter is a losing percentage play. Acta understands that.

Off subject a tad....how about Tim Belcher? Talk about an incredible job. How many people wrote off Fausto? Look what he's done with Talbot...Tomlin....and holy shit on Masterson...CP...Sipp...and unbelievable job on the rebirth of Raffy left. I think Tim Belcher is the tribe's most valuable entity....and it's not even close.

Some great news for tonight. Pronk is 1-21 career vs Weaver. In Weaver's last 3 starts vs the Tribe, he is 3-0 with an ERA of 0.48.

I like all the analysis today. It's a sign of success to be where we are right now and then do the "nit-picking" and "tweeking". Hahahaha!

Keep enjoying this, my Tribe brethren! NOW, let's get back to business tonight and win this game!

I would rather nitpick about the few losses than have the 'here we go again' that has been the case the last 3 years.

Its Tribe Time now. Weaver's numbers are sick. 55 k's vs 11 walks. He can't win every start. Let's battle him; make him throw a ton of pitches and get him out of there.

Cabrera singles and Santana hits a 400 ft flyout to deep center. So they hit couple balls hard. Maybe Weaver can be off today.

I know. I was in 100% agreement with you. The fact that we go into EVERY game expecting to win is so much fun.
