It's the price of everything else that is going up with the cost of gas, most importantly food. So yes, people can and are hurt by the ever increasing price of gas. It's not so easy to absorb as people on here would have you believe. Not everyone is so lucky.

I don't feel sorry for people who QQ about gas while driving their brand new car, their expensive data plans, cable tv, and their 12 children that I am probably paying for anyway.

Everyone?? Who is failing to realize that?

Did someone say increasing fuel prices would be "easy" to absorb?

Yes, they did. It's only 5 dollars a day, it's not so bad. Everything you buy is affect by gas prices. People may be able to cut down their travel, but you still have to eat.

I'd love to have a brand new car, I use a Tracfone and don't have any kids. Can I still be worried about the rising cost of food, or do I need your fucking permission?

You are misquoting Manhattan I believe. He stated that at $5.00 per gallon fuel is relatively cheap...which it is.

Everyone isn't failing to realize that fuel charges impact the cost of most goods and services.

Everyone isn't saying that increased fuel charges are easy to absorb for all people.

I don't know where you are getting that from.

Read an article this morning that said gas could drop as much as 50 cents by summer and would save american drivers as much as 179 million dollars a day.
