Reds this year are 15-15, 9-9 at home, 6-6 on the road.

That's a pretty average first 30 games of the season.

Need to pick it up and go on a run

You win today, and you win again tomorrow, that's what you call A WINNING STREAK. It has happened before.-Lou Brown

Interested to see how Homer does. We really need this starting staff to improve.

The Reds are 15-15 but have a +17 run differential. If they were 15-15 and were -28 like Chicago or -17 like Pittsburgh I would be worried.

Yeah, I agree. That should take care of itself eventually. The offense is fine. As soon as our starting pitching remembers how to pitch, we'll be just fine.

Nice day out, Thursday, very typical of a normal 12:35 game in-which the Reds draw decent. I'd say 22K. Myers is a tough customer on get away day. Since the Reds fell to him after starting the season 5-0, they are 9-10 since. Lets hope yesterday's ending and this can start the winning ways back.

I don't think the offense has been "fine". The run differential was built up nicely over the 1st two weeks of the season, since then they haven't done much. Other than playing defense, they haven't done much hitting or pitching lately.

The point is that the hot streak at the early point of the season shows that they are capable of. Their performance for the rest of the year should be somewhere in the middle. They will be okay. We've played horribly recently and we are right in the thick of it.

Homer looks sharp today, we need a good 7 IP, 0 R outing out of our starter.

Who the fuck squeezes in the 2nd inning up 1-0?? I don't think I've ever seen a squeeze that early.

Have to remember it is a makeup game. It originally was an off day. Certain percentage of people wont be able to take off work on short notice, the normal folks who take off work to go already did so yesterday........too short notice for businesses to plan an employee or client outing. Plus..its the Stros.

Squeeze should be easy to execute. WHat happened.....foul? Miss it completely?

Threw a curveball in the dirt outside and he wiffed on it.

He missed it completely...but it was a terrible pitch to try to put in play...nasty breaking ball breaking away from Janish. Certainly can't fault him there.

Didn't sound like he had any chance to get the bat on the ball.

Houston intentionally walks the slumping guy who's not hitting his weight to get to the guy who already has an RBI single today. That worked out well for them.
